Misery loves company
And with this migraine I'm ready to grab a sledge hammer
even if all it does is knock me out cold for a while, it is better than what I'm going through. I've had this thing for 7 days and it just isn't going away. I've gone to the hospital, been through a walk-in clinic and will finally be seeing my doctor tomorrow. If I can't get rid of this thing I will not be happy.
So how many others suffer from migraines?

*raises hand* Thankfully he's not able to join us today, but yes, mine has actually taken on a personality of it's own. But a full week is fairly awful. However I've had them for weeks on end before, which was a real pain in the derrier. Usually I have to cut out all of the sound, lights, apply a hot damp towel to my head (keeps your brains from leaking out...and reduces the pressure as it tries to split your skull) and take as much medicine as I can without making myself ill. Usually mine are so bad other people can see them...

Turns out mine is a tension headache combined with muscle spasms. It is possible that this is actually whiplash as I managed to avoid a vehicle collision 4 days before this started. But I don't feel like going that route because I was on work time transporting some people I assist. I don't want to do the paperwork.

That sucks, Thyna, but the paperwork might be worth it in the long run. I was in a car accident that my mother didn't report, and I personally think that she should have gone to the hospital, or at least filed a report because months later she was in terrible pain and I was only a little better off.

I had to report the near miss as I had clients with me, but the paper work for workers compensation is a waste really. I have a decent amount of time on the books and the therapies my doctor wants me to do are already covered by my benifits. If it had gone on for too long, yeah I'd file so I wouldn't have used up my time on the books, but I was away for 4 days and can easily regain it.
The meds my doctor seem to take care of the worst of it. I know I don't want to be on them long term though. Can't wait to get the therapy stuff started

I bet, living in pain like that is it's own personal hell...and who needs that when you know people need you at your best?

Well my mother gets these terrible heaches that moves from one spot in her head to another. There's terrible pressure and her eyes burn. The only thing that helps is eating and then taking a nap

Same thing here, my mom gets them she says, but still somehow manages the pain, when i get them, I don't take pills, but instead just lie on the floor and pass out, and i hear ringing in my ears afterwards.

I know. I get them sometimes. No one but my mother believes me. I've been to doctors but they say I'm making it up...... Just one more thing I have ontop of everything else
