*Flashback*
"Baba, Baba! Can you read tell me a story?" You ask to your great-grandmother who watches over you in her small house. She is nearly ninety years old but smiles at you and beckons you to sit upon her lap and happily you oblige. She smiles and begins to talk, her warmth keeps you happy and contented.
"What would you like to hear little one? How about Gilgamesh? or one of Aesop's fables, or would you like Romeo & Juliet?" You nod your head in opposition to the ones mentioned,
"I wanna hear a new one Baba." Your great-grandmother thinks slowly and searches her mind about the many tales she knew, "
How about a story that has been passed down aaallll the way down to me from my mother?" You nod your head in excitement and she then begins
The tale of Sin and Natalie.
Once upon a time there was a man who was supposed to be king, king of everything in the light but he did not care, no, he wanted one thing besides his riches and his throne. He wanted the love of one girl, that girl was Natalie.
Everyday she would go out and plant white Orchids in the Garden of the Kingdom at noon until the time of dark took place and then she would go home. The little prince would watch her do this as he did since he was only five years of age and only on the eve of his 18th birthday did he ever attempt to speak with her.
He waited just until it was time for her to leave and return home then he approached her."My name is Sin and-" The girl smiled kindly, "I know who you are, Sin. I am Natalie." Sin was flushed slightly from the girls acknowledgment of his name. "I noticed each day you plant flowers alone and never talk to anyone who is in the garden with you." The girl sighed, "That's because nobody ever talks to me."
"Well, since I am here, could I help you with your flowers?" The young girl nodded and the two began to work together until the vast hours of the night.
When midnight struck and the Kingdoms Noctis flowers began to shine under the pale moon light Natalie had Sin close his eyes and when he did she gave him a small kiss on the lips and at that moment the two's loneliness had instantly been filled.
For year the two would meet and go out through the Kingdom on dates and such. The sight of the two together quickly spread throughout the Kingdom until it reached the Palace of Hearts. When Sin returned to the Palace he found his father, the king, waiting for him. "What is it I hear the you are gallivanting around with a normal girl?" Sin looked in his father's eyes, "She loves me as I her." "I WILL NOT HEAR OF IT!!" Sin's father screamed in the hall, "I have already made the precaution of putting her in the Darkness so you two may never see each other again.
In his blind rage Sin lunged at his father and tried to kill him and he would of if the guards didn't remove him. His father, also angered, sent Sin into the Darkness to spend a year.
Now you must understand little one, the Darkness isn't a time of no lights, it is a living thing that only those who had thoroughly angered the king must meet and spend time with. There was no love, no noise, no light, and no warmth in there and that's where a father had sent his son.
In the Darkness all Sin could ever think of was Natalie. The very thought of her filled his heart with light and warmth to the point he glowed in the Darkness. One day while in thought about her a man seemed to come from the Darkness itself and talk to him, "Hello young man, I have never met you before here. Who might you be?" Sin looked up wearily, "Sin Deus Veritas." The cloaked man smiled underneath his shawl, "You are a Weilder no doubt." Sin nodded, "And you are?" "I am Noctis, the spirit of this darkness." Sin looked up at him once more, "I am told stories of you and your evil ways. How you spread yourself amongst the light in heartless vessels that do you bidding." "That is most certainly not the truth." Noctis seemed sincere in his statement, "I only help those who need it the most."
"Is somebody precious to you in the dark, Sin?" Sin nodded his head, "Yes but I cannot find them through it all, the dark is to thick." Noctis smiled again, "Or maybe if you took the darkness from me you could find her with it gone." Sin became ex static, "How would I do that, please tell me now!" Sin grabbed Noctis by his robes, "All you must do young one is take all the darkness in your heart. Just open your heart to the darkness."
Sin cleared his heart of its light and 'removed' it handing it over to Noctis.
All the darkness cleared away in minutes and all that was left was a pitch black sphere that was handed over to Sin. It was colder and filled with more sorrow than anything Sin had ever touched, but if it meant he could see Natalie again he would gladly take it back.
When he did he instantly changed in appearance and became a denizen of darkness. When he explored the vast emptiness he finally found Natalie. She seemed sad and mournful when Sin approached her, "Who are you?" She said. "I am Sin." She shook her head 'no' and began to cry, "Have you seen Sin? I haven't been able to find him." Clearly she hadn't been able to Notice it was him from his changed appearance, "But I am Sin! Natalie I am Sin!" She shoved him away, "I have had enough of your tricks Noctis!" Sin was stunned by what she said. He was Sin so how could she say he was Noctis? "Please, Na-" At that Moment Sin forgot the single person he loved the most's name and then it happened, he forgot who he was.
He knew he loved the person in front of him but forgot who she was entirely. He reached out to touch her but instantly she disappeared instantly into darkness...into him. He wept and wept until he saw Noctis again, "So you found her I see." Sin in his anger grabbed Noctis by his robe, "I said you could find her but now she is gone. But don't blame me, blame those who put you in the darkness in the first place."
Noctis was right thought Sin in his rage...or was he Sin? Maybe he was Noctis?
Sin opened up a portal into the world of light and appeared in the Castle's Throne Room in front of his Father.
"
Did you think I would forgive you.""Did you think I would forgive you."Noctis and Sin's voices intertwined together into a disturbing harmony.
"Y-you cant be here! I put you into the Dark!"
Noctis/Sin chuckled,
"I am the Dark..."I am the Dark..."And at that moment Sin did horrible things and whipped the King away from existence. Fearing that they were next, the Casters who imprisoned Sin sought and found the Seal Keeper Keyblade hidden within the Chamber of Light.
The seven surrounded Sin and cast a Spell of Sealing by channeling their magic energies into the Keyblade.
As Sin was being dragged into the Seal to be stripped of his powers and become a simple Neo-Shadow he looked into the eyes of the Casters and Spoke,
"He took it from us..." And at that moment what they feared would happen did, Sin and Noctis fused their hearts together entirely as they became one being , "
I am...immortal. I am the Worlds opponent, its enemy incarnate. Hate, Loathing and Conscience. I am Nemesis. The of Swiftness and supreme restraint. The Bird of Herme's is my Name. No longer eating my wings to keep me tame."Nemesis was sealed away but it is said that he will escape, weaker, but still Nemesis. Still wanting his love to come back.
"Now time to sleep little one." Your great-grandmother walks you to bed and tucks you in. As tired as you are you still have thoughts of Sin, Natalie, and...Noctis. You look out your window on the Windy Fall night in Twilight Town and swear you see the face of a man looking in at you.
The face of Nemesis smiling and he whispers, "Sleep, let the darkness cover you. My young wielder."
