I've read The Black Heart of Jamaica, which is written by Julia Golding, and the series is awesome, I recommend it from the start to where it is now! 3nodding It's about an orphan girl called Catherine Royal and it starts in London.
Also I've been reading the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton, another great series, but this time it's about vampires, shapeshifters and romance as well as police work/vampire executions.

I have been reading Holding Fast by Karen James. Its about the 2006 tragedy on Mt. Hood in Oregon. I live in that area when I am not away at school, but this book is very good even if I know the sad ending to what happened to the three climbers on the trip.

I haven't been reading manga lately, but I have been going through novels. My absolute fav. is Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. It is a must read for any true vampire fan.I also recommend the movie, but as always, the book's even better.

Personally the only reason i watch a movie based on a book i only watch it to laugh at it coz it always turns out miles differant than the book. Eragon is a classic example.

It was hard, choosing between this story, and a poem. But here it is. The story isn't finished, it's just a small part. Actually, it's the only part that I have. Oh, sorry about the length; I couldn't chose just one paragraph.
“Cursed drapery!” bellowed Thomas from the attic soon after falling to the floor with a muffled thud. The magenta curtains had seemed to attack him, as if possessed by an unknown malevolent force. Had he just placed his foot in the wrong area while turning around? He thought not. Thomas had been no where near the serpent like curtains when he turned to make his departure from the musty abode of mold and mystery. It seemed that this house had always had a mark upon his head since he had been a child. In the previous months, the vicious attacks to his life had almost stopped. But it seemed in this month of December his personal pain had flourished into a new rage of deadly attacks.
“I don’t have time for such trickery,” Thomas protested as he unraveled the mischievous trap, “I have to hurry to the parlor with this photo album before that old bat thinks I’ve forgotten her.”
The oddest of things had happened that day. Thomas received a visit from his great-grandmother, who for reasons unknown to him was still alive at her age, at noon. She had arrived upon his front doorstep by means of her chauffeur. He was baffled to learn that she had brought along with her an over night bag. You see, Thomas had not heard a word from great-grandmother Amelia since the death of her son, Thomas’ grandfather, many years ago. He remembered little about her. Just that she had a penchant for gambling all of her vast fortunes away.
Thomas, with photo album in hand, made a hasty decent down the stairs and into the parlor. He noticed that great-grandmother Amelia had fallen asleep while waiting, or had she? With a quizzical look, Thomas made his way over to the crone. If she was dead he could just simply blame it on old age, though the house was a more logical assumption. Thomas extended his arm, placing his hand on her shoulder and giving her a small nudge. 10

This is a story that I'm writing for my own entertainment. Not very far in it and really haven't decided my approached. 3nodding Might as well try, right? Sorry it's a bit longer then a paragraph, it's hard for me to choose just one. .-. Sorry it sounds kind of like a complete romance book, but later on it gets better. I just haven't gotten there yet. "Anya, please bring me something to drink." A female voice said, staring out the window. It was twilight, a very pleasant time of the day for the two sisters. "Yes, Akara." the female named Anya replied. Though sisters, one might glance at them and decide they were of no relation. Anya had curly blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes. Akara on the other hand had fiery red hair and green eyes. And not only were their looks nothing alike, their personalities were just as different as night and day. Anya came back holding a glass filled with red liquid, she handed it to Akara and went to sit down. "There are trespassers in our territory, sister." Akara comment looking outside, where a bird was perched. "Just watch them for a while. If they do no harm then leave them be." Anya replied, with a smile. "Time to go?" Anya asked, standing up and walking out the door. Akara nodded and ran outside. ------------------------------------------------------ As Anya approached a house, she smiled. Running at inhuman speed, she had her eyes on the human on the porch. Stopping behind the boy she bent over and playfully bit his neck, not hard enough to break the skin however. "Ow. Anya!" the boy said, rubbing his neck. "Sorry Jake, got carried away." She replied, laughing. As she stared at Jake she couldn't help but noticing his blue eyes, and the way his hair blew in the wind. His hair came just below the ears, not Anya's personal favorite haircut for a boy but it would do. Anya wasn't sure what to do with this human. He knew the secert. And he wanted to be a monster just like Anya and Akara. If the king found out...well she would probably be killed. No matter how much the king loved Akara. Mabey Akara would be let off the hook, only if she finally said yes to him... 8
