"Bruce" was the nickname for the mechanical shark in the movie Jaws. Many sharks are dubbed Bruce in his honor.

The shark in Finding Nemo is named Bruce, too. I only remember 'cause the only thing I understood when I watched it in French was when the shark said "SALUT! Je m'appelle Buuuuce!" XD
