Wouldn't it be awesome to cosplay your own customized gaia avatar and enter a contest with it? The items in gaia are so interesting, and people have some really stunning avatars. If done right, the gaia cosplays could go down in cosplay history. =D I know maplestory had a cosplay contest for halloween, so why not gaia?

That sounds like fun -- except I wouldn't be able to do it. My avis always show skin at the weirdest places which doesn't look so odd on the pixels, but would look TOTALLY awkward in reality. xDDD Not exactly the most confident person, you see.

My problem is that I change my avi so much i'd have to decide which outfit to use! Hahaha! Not unlike cosplaying from dragon knights.

Awha? MapleStory had a cosplay contest for Halloween? Man, and to think I stopped playing last summer xD; -totally has a wig that could be used for a MS character cosplay-
I've actually considered cosplaying as Panda, and even though my outfits aren't exactly consistent, I could still go along with my original maid dress outfit...but it would be fun, my avatar's character would be fun to play =]
But if Gaia had a cosplay contest in the future, there should be a category for NPC cosplays as well as avatars. If my hair was longer, I could definitely pull off Louie cool

They had one during the '07 Halloween event. It was decidedly lack-luster, hence they didn't repeat it for '08.
