The weather was slowly warming up and soon the days would be perfect for just enjoying a day to run around in the fields and enjoy the sun's rays. Lately, things for the mare had been extremely quiet. Not much activity happened and she hadn't seen her family in quite a while. She didn't really miss her brother, Iyami, all that much since all he ever did was pick on her. There were parts of him that she did miss, like the play fights they would get into. She remembered always wanting to play with him, but he was always a little too rough for her liking. Now she was older and could play a little rougher, but most others didn't like to play in such childish games any longer.
The odd looking mare slowly strolled along with a simple smile on her face. Her mane wasn't perfectly in place, but she didn't mind at all. It was too much work to worry about how she looked. Even as a filly, Asami didn't care at all how she looked. Usually the bows in her mane would be little white knots tied in her mane. Asami yawned a little and stretched her legs out. What was on the agenda for the day? She didn't even know, but planned to soon find out.

Lex breathed in the warmer air. Spring was coming soon. As a foal, Lex hadn't paid much attention to the change in the seasons. Any season he played in, no matter if it was cold or rainy or shining brightly that it was hard to see when looking up at the sky. He had been a playful foal, always insisting that one or both of his brothers played with him. Sometimes they went about and played a game but usually Lex was by himself.
That did not damper Lex's spirits, however. He found other activities to do, activities he could do alone. Sometimes he met others and sometimes he used his imagination, his was fairly active. But making friends while a foal, that was some of the best moments of his foalhood. Admittedly he met mostly fillies. It was a little odd, now that he thought on it, but perhaps only fillies lived nearby? But he had his brother's and his dad for male contact.

Mother was still as elusive as ever. Once Lex had reached adulthood, he had left soon. Taigi had left sooner, though. Lex wondered sometimes if Nikolai was still with dad but Lex hadn't went back home in months to check. He wanted to find mother because he wanted answers. Why hadn't she come to visit more? Why was she completely absent now that they were adults? It had crushed Lex when she had always left, but her departure seemed most hardest on Taigi. Taigi seemed to adore her or at least looked up to her. Lex felt bad for his brother and felt as the eldest he should do something. And so here he was, attempting to find her.

Lex began to walk again. The red and black stallion hadn't realized he had stopped. He must of been a sight, standing there so still and looking but not really seeing. He began to trot, he had to make up lost time for his break. His light gray eyes squinted. It was hard to see as he was so far away but he could make out the form of.....? It looked like another horse. But this horse wasn't anything like Lex had ever encountered. Was it a horse then? He'd find out soon enough, he'd have to pass it.

When the mare noticed a dark figure heading her way, she sped up a little to meet the other halfway. Hopefully a new friend would emerge from this meeting. Her orange and brown tail, a perfect combination of her parent's tail colorings, flicked slightly as she noticed that this stallion had a horn like a past friend. She smiled at him as they drew nearer, letting him know that she was no threat.
Asami was used to others not wearing clothing, but most were not used to her wearing them. She didn't understand why others thought it was so strange. The mare's whole family had clothing. Her brothers both wore blue clothing like their mother while she wore black like her father. Her blue eyes darted to the black unicorn who was now close enough for Asami to notice the red markings he had and his silver eyes.

She spoke with a cheery voice. "Hello!" A bit of Asami's orange mane was a bit out of place, but she didn't care. If she did try to fix it, it would just fall out of place again sooner or later. Asami paused her movement to see if this stallion wanted to converse with her or not.

He had been correct. It was a horse. A mare. Lex looked her over as she came closer to him. She was unlike any mare or filly he had encountered in the past. It wasn't her mane or tail that was strange to him. Lex could admit that his tail could be classed as unusual to some, if they had never met someone with unicorn blood before. It wasn't her white bow either.
It was what she was wearing on her body. They reminded Lex of what the two-legger's wore. Clothes? But why in the world would a mare be wearing clothes? It was very odd. But then he wore red and black bands, a gift from a two-legger. At the thought of them, Lex rose one front leg, looking peculiarly at them. Were her clothing and his small accessory both from the two-legger's?

Continuing to look at her clothing, Lex did not register the fact that the mare was speaking to him. His head shot up, for he had been eyeing her back hooves which seemed to be wearing another article of clothing. Lex blinked in confusion. "What?" He had no idea what she said to him. "Er...sorry." He laughed, sheepishly.

"You must think of me as rude. All my staring." He did feel strangely guilty for his behavior.

"But I'm curious, where did you get them?" He indicated her clothing with a quick nod of his head.
