I love it alot, it deffinelty changed how I saw the game. When I first saw it I honestly watched it 2 times in a row, and I cried at the end. I thought it was a really amzing movie, and I'm happy to say that I have the limited editon box sitting near my Sephiroth and Cloud figures lol heart heart

I thought it was all right. I loved seeing the characters in good graphics, and it was fun and entertaining, and looked fabulous, but the storyline felt patchy to me. I thought it left awkward questions (like what the geostigma is, where the remnants came from), had some plot holes (like, how did Cloud make it from Midgar to Northern Continent on his bike?), and messed with my idea of the characters (emo!Cloud bugged me, and I'd always seen Reno more as a cool, laid-back killer than comic relief).

r u kidding it answerd most of those questions in the movie the geostigma is a disease that is spreading everywhere and the remnants of the sephiroth were created by Zack(main character of crisis core) cloud is one of them thats y Kaddaj(i cant spell his name) were also created by zack the geostigma is also known as the "sephiroth gene"the remnets become full circle when they are joined with cells from jenova if u complete the actual game then watch the movie and u will have a better understanding of the movie's events and the movie will be alot more interesting to u

Yeah, they tell you what Geostigma basically is, but there are a lot of uncertainties about exactly where it came from, how it works, that kind of thing.

Um... Can you please explain what you mean by this? I don't think Zack had anything to do with it. If you can find quotes or something, that would be great.

I never really considered how he got to the Northern Continent. xd That is an excellent point. I guess they have ferries, or something... and with all that other awesome stuff Fenrir's got going on, maybe it can fly!

I also sort of agree about the characters. Cloud had gotten so much better by the end of the game, and then he just reverted by the time the movie rolled around. I do believe I read an interview in which Nomura talked about that. He said he actually really wanted to show how Cloud moved backward in order to have a Cloud like the one they remember throughout most of the game.. but yeah, he went a bit overboard with that. Reno... well, I like him being cool, laid-back killer, but... he also makes some really good comic relief. sweatdrop

I've played Crisis Core, and I don't remember that...

Maybe Cloud drove so fast that he just drove right over the water?

I didn't dislike Reno's personality in AC. My objection was more to the change itself. I guess you could say that it was kinda like FFX!Yuna and FFX-2!Yuna, one character evolving into something that didn't seem (to me) at all supported by the previous work.

I loved Reno's character, I will admit tho I've never actually have beaten 7, I did beat Crisis Core tho, and I believe that when they took Zack and Cloud in for experiments is the part that you guys are thinking about. I dought that he drove over the water lol.

Yeah, I can understand about the change. I guess it is ]comparable to Yuna, though to me it didn't seem as radical.

I like the idea that he just skimmed over the water xd but my guess is a boat that wasn't important enough to be shown.

I liked it, though it did change my views of the game both positivly and negatively. On the plus side, the animation was amazing, they fit all the major and minor characters into it quite well, and the voice acting was very good. Also, they brought up Cloud's past subtly, in a way that only a true FF7 fan would get hehe.

But, on the other hand, I didn't like how they animated Tifa, she didn't look much like her character did from the game. Also, Yazoo, Loz, and Kadaj seemed to come out of nowhere. I mean, it explaned it, (and maybe I'm just blind) but I honestly don't know where they came from, or what their deal is. The visuals were nice, but it seemed a little too gray. The game was very vibrant with its hues, but maybe it's because of the mood set of the movie? I'm not sure.

Overall, they did a good job, I think, but theres still little things they could have changed.

I think Tifa looked like she did in the game. Her outfit changed, obviously, and she cut her hair, but she herself looks the same to me.

As for the animation being too grey? Well... I think that's the only way they could have done it; using brighter colors would have just looked awful with the type of graphics, in my opinion. That's why I can't stand a lot of modern animated films: Realistic shading and texturing with unrealistically bright colors just looks gaudy.

Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo... Heh, I guess that's a really long story. I always end up confusing myself when I try to sort it all out, and then I have to look stuff up, but I have definitely gotten it to make sense before. xp

Yea I guess your right about the color thing, hehe. But, if they remake the game I hope to god they do make it a little brighter, they did Crisis Core perfectly. That game is amazing, except for the excessive cornyness. But the colors werent all grey-d out, plus the animation was very good.

As for Tifa, yea she did look similar, but someone on Deviantart drew a realistic version of her and it looked almost exactly like she did in the game. Though the voice acting for everyone was good (especially Sephiroth)
