This is the back half of the Quincy Temple. With a tree in one corner, its essentially a long courtyard, separated into two sections. The first is under the awning, taking a quarter of the space. Within it are dummies to practice close hand attacks. The second area is an archery range, which is bisected into close and long range. There are bows and arrows given to those who wish to practice with these rather than their Quincy bow. There are dummies and targets ready upon your request. Further underground is a secret chamber specifically made to teach the different magics and other things that would be problematic above ground. The only way into the training ground is through a door in the main house, which only responds to the spirit energy of a Quincy. One shouldn't worry, though, the whole compound(living quarters and training area) is covered so no excess spirit pressure can be read from within, keeping the occupants safe from harms way.

Andrew walked into the back of his house, to the area in which he would show Kijiro more of what the Quincy do. Walking over to the archery range, he picked up a bow and a quiver of arrows, then stopped over at the shooting position. There were a few students out, sitting and watching or practicing on the dummies. "Here is where you will be practicing our craft, that of the bow." Andrew held out the bow for Kijiro to take. "Have you used one before? Or would you like to show me your skill?" A comforting smile crossed his face. He knew that this was much for Kijiro to learn, but he looked like he was one for retaining information.

As Yosuke came into the room, he saw the training equipment, the other students, most were younger then him, and Andrew asked the question once again, if he knew how to use a bow. "I have some experience..." He was lying a bit of course, he was the top of the line in his High School Archery team, which didn't mean a whole lot public wise... but it was his source of ability with a bow. And he learned a little bit at an earlier age... not to say he became the best shot ever though. He took the bow from Andrew slowly, and then picked up an arrow that had been laying around, it looked like it was the right length for the bow. "I guess I could try a shot..." He noched the arrow to the bowstring, lifted it up and pulled the string back, the drawback wasn't too far for him. He aimed at down at one of the dummies, aiming at the head. When he stablized his breathing and his arms he let the arrow fly off, hitting the dummy just below the neck rather then the head. It was a good estimate though, he hadn't shot a bow in a few years, so he figured it wasn't bad for a rusty shot.

The shot was superb. "Excellent! Very nice." Andrew clapped slowly, all the other students following suit, ending as Andrew did. "That means we don't have to stay on this section for too long. I will now show you what the Quincy's powers are." His left sleeve fell from his arm, as was the traditional style of bowman. The cross charm on his bracelet hung in the air off his outstretched arm. It then began to sway a bit as his reiatsu moved forth from his wrist, folding out into the shape of a bow. "The power of the Quincy is to form their spirit energy into the of a bow and arrow. This will allow one to defeat Hollows and other threats." He then raised his right arm and moved it towards the stock of the bow, arrow forming and stretching back as he pulled his arm back. The arrow then shot forth, striking the dummy in the head, the blue bolt of energy sticking out of it. Then five more struck the target in a straight line down the front. Andrew then let the energy go, arrows disappearing, bow the same. He then turned back to Kijiro. "That is the power of the Quincy."

Yosuke watched in amazement as bow seemed to form out of nowhere into Andrew's hand. The most exciting part was when a blue arrow with a similar hue formed into his hand, then pulled back and shot out with extreme speed to where Yosuke had intended his material arrow to land. He watched the other arrows zip passed and practically making a perfect line down the dummy's body and disappearing in seconds. He could do that? It seemed like a far out fantasy, something from a childs imagination, but he couldn't get passed the fact that he just saw it infront of his eyes."I... I can do that? Are yo insane? I can barely even form an orb of reiatsu in my hand... and I can't even see these hollows or spirits clearly." He still couldn't believe that he had the same power, if anything what did he do to deserve it? How was he different from everyone else?

"Now, now," Andrew said, chuckling a bit, placing a hand on Kijiro's shoulder. "You don't quite have the same amount of power I do," Andrew took the bow from Kijiro and set it back where he picked it up, "but with practice and meditation you can gain great abilities. The next thing for you to do is to do just that. Once you can see spirits and spirit energy more clearly, then you will be ready to make your bow. But first, there are two things we must talk about." Slowly, he walked towards the door that then entered through, hopefully with Kijiro following him. "We'll go back to the foyer for this, if it's ok with you." He then opened the door and waited for Kijiro to go through.

Yosuke wasn't in any place to argue, Andrew had all the answers here, not even Yosuke's investigative abilities were of any assistance to him now... not until he knew more. He followed Andrew through the doors once again, knowing even the sliding door knew more about this stuff then he did. He came into the foyer, leaving the other children that occupied the room alone, not wanting to get in the way of their own practice, they most likely had more power then he did anyway.

Andrew walked out to the archery range again, hopefully with Kirijo following him. Instead of the long range, he though it better to first start off at the shorter one, only measuring about four meters long. Standing in one of the spots, he turned to look at Kirijo, and began to speak and explain when he arrived. "Now begins your training on achieving your bow. I know you have seen mine, and seen how intricate it is. You will not be trying to achieve something of that level for quite some time." Andrew then held out his left arm, his charm dangling from his wrist. "This charm is your focus. It will help you form your spirit energy into a bow. This effectively cuts down on the amount of multi tasking you need to do in battle." Putting his left arm out in the direction, Andrew made a small, extremely simply bow, the arms not extending more than a foot an a half each way. "First, I want you to think about making a bow, something like this. Very simple, very easy. Just focus on the bow right now."

Yosuke did as Andrew instructed, he looked at the charm briefly before attempting it, seeing how usefull the cross was. He raised up his own right arm as Andrew had extending his fingers. He tried to get the feel of the shape of the bow to concentrate it into a bow shape. When he transferred his reiatsu into his right hand, the energy trying to form into a solid sparked lightly, shortly refusing to submit to Yosuke's blueprint of the bow, contorting into reality, but it wasn't quite a bow shape. But shortly after, his reiatsu became more obedient, and formed a beep blue colored bow similar to the one Andrew conjured. It was a bit longer than he had intended, but assumed it wouldn't make much of a difference, it was a few inches longer limb wise than Andrew's had appeared, and it was a very deep blue color, a midnight blue. He noticed the cross had floated upward as the bow had formed, and the cross was now flowing in harmony with the pulse of the bow.

Andrew nodded to himself as Kirijo had formed a bow. "Very good." Most new Quincy took quite a while to form what Kirijo had here, but Kirijo seemed persistent and a quick learner. "Next, I want you to change the size of your bow till it feels more comfortable for you. The larger bows use a little more energy to make, but end up being a little bit more powerful. I just want you to find what's comfortable for yourself." Andrew then changed the size of his own bow, to that of a little more than two meters from end to end. "I personally prefer the long bow as it was what I was trained to learn. Now you try. Just change the size, leave the shape easy and simple."

"Hmm..." He though about what would be good bow for him, he already had good accurecy as far as he was concerned, so no need to shrink it down so much just to get frozen rope. Powerful attacks would be nice, but he had no idea of his limits, he would occationally shrink the bow, and then make it grow larger, trying to figure a good range. He felt good at a medium length, if it was placed on the ground, it may reach his hips, so it wasn't huge, but it wasn't small either, it was perhaps a bit over average size. He played with the a little bit, by moving it around a bit, seeing as it wasn't getting in his way, he decided on just that for now.

Seeing as Kirijo had decided on a size, the next step was for him to get used to separating his attention. "Now you need to get used to separating your attention. Your cross with help to keep the bow at a decent size while you pull your mind elsewhere. This may seem a little tricky at first, but with practice, you will get used to it." Andrew then raised his left hand to about waist level, still keeping his bow out. "I want you to pool your spirit energy into you hand, make a ball, like before." Andrew then did such as he said, and continued to do so as he spoke. "Then change its size and move it around. After you get the hang of that," as he began to explain the next part, the ball of spirit energy turned into a sort of rod shape, about the size of an arrow, though slightly thicker, " then try and form a simple arrow, and then change the shape of that a bit." The arrow then changed, gaining a pointed head while slimming down a bit. "Just try your best and test things out. See what works and what doesn't." ((Do this over two posts, please.))

"Okay..." He replied somewhat quietly, he focused mostly on keeping his bow in shape, while he tried to form an arrow. As he did this in his left hand, all the reiatsu would do was spark and flux randomly. He wasn't able to give it enough thought to form the arrow, but he could only channel the energy to the right position. Instead of his previous tactic, he gave more concentration on his arrow, as he did this, the arrow formed to a bit more familiar shape of an arrow, but the bow would fade off and flux, and even the arrow wouldn't properly form. "..." He tried to balance the concentration out even, and still they both fail to keep their form and size as he tried to multi task through this test. "..." He was starting to lose his patience...

Though it was irritating, Yosuke kept at this seemingly simple task, that showed itself to be more difficult than he had thought it would be. "Ng..." He made sure that the bow was stable before he tried again, then he conjured what was supposed to be mostly nothing in his left hand, just a small practice to train his mind to split it's focus as he made the image of a bright blue arrow in his mind, and pleaded it to form in his hand. He tried once more, this time it slowly took the shape of an arrow, then halfway down what was supposed to be the shaft, the bright light snapped and faded off. He sighed, it still seemed a tad bit ambiguous, remembering that the cross was supposed to help split his focus, he hadn't been thinking about it at all. The entire time he had been only using the cross to form the bow, not to seperate and stablize his mind. He let down on a bit more of his intention on the bow, and it stayed together fairly well, so he went back to the arrow. This time, it was easier to get it started, instead of the mere second of a half an arrow forming and obliterating, it came together more accordingly to what he had planned, he held onto his focus on the arrow until he was more confident that it would stay, and not desintegrate, and he was sure that it would, and the bow seemed to be fine aswell.
