Well, this topic was freaky, but this is the best I got...
The tiles glistened in their azure glory sparkling like Lapis in the light. near the sink, a plate covered in chocolate. nay, chocolate chip cookies. but there is no difference. they are stolen, and they taste of vice and gluttony. the tiles still glisten in the light, and they do so for another half hour. by that time, the plate is empty, leaving only crumbs for the authorities.

Good! Don't worry, this is the kind of piece I wanted.
See? It tells a story without going into it. You have to give some details, but allow your readers to be smart enough to fill in the blanks.
One thing, though: Capital letters are not like capital punishment. They are your friends. Use them!
