Name: Karixa Rinners
Aliases/ Nicknames: The Silent Wanderer
Age: Looks in her early twenties, actually in her late twenties.
Seat: Captain of Squad Nine
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 160
Personality: She is an observer, but does not have the calculating nature that goes along with it. She’s not friendly per say but she gets along with people ok. She has a tendency to do stuff for fun and no other reason, regardless of what the repercussions are. As far as her opinions of fighting go, it’s really just another way to have fun. When the fun dries up though, she can be a bit cruel. She enjoys having freedom and when people get in the way of that she gets testy. She does not have this problem if she willingly enters into an organization or something, but it can still trouble her some. She builds relationships slowly, but once built its one of the few things she will defend to the end. Her moods are as varied as her taste in music and that is a lot of different moods. She's learned a little bit of apathy from her Zanpaktou spirit, so she has to be careful of that.
Theme Song(s):
Normal: The Seeker
Wary: Long Dream
Fighting: Everything We Were Has Become What We Are
Physical Description: She’s on the tall side, but has a pretty standard build otherwise. She has short pale green hair with eyes that are a darker green color. Her complexion is cannot really be called tan but her skin does not tan very well. Her stature makes her seem intimidating, but her face gives the opposite impression. It is very much a motherly face, even though she does not often feel that she is motherly in any sense of the word. Other then that, her fingers are long and calloused at the tips from playing with some sort of stringed instrument. Her clothes are dark, and she has a high collar and long sleeves that are both black. The only bit of non-neutral color is a dark green wrap that is tied around her waist. She wears a pair of black, knee high boots, that are not only cool looking for her. There is two one and a half inch blades in each boot, that can retract or extend from the toe and heel of the boot. She likes these simple weapons more then a normal sword, since she is a lot better at kicking then at swordplay.
Zanpakuto Name and Sealed Description: Tamashiina Jokyoku (Soulless Overture) It is a simple katana with blue-green ties and a little gold on the edges.
Zanpaku-to Sword Type: Katana
Zanpaku-to Element: Sound
Zanpakuto spirit: Tamashiina Jokyoku
Shikai: (Reached) /Play a tune for me, Tamashiina Jokyoku!/ After she speaks she flicks the tip of the sword, making it vibrate. As the sound resonates, it changes to a hollow sword with an opening at the tip. Half way down the sword, a hinge appears with a mallet on it that strikes the top of the sword when she swings it. It is now is set up like a hand chime, where is can only produce one tone when struck, but it’s a clear bell tone. The top of the sword is flat but the sides are raised up to keep the mallet out of the way when it is not in use. On each side of the blade there are two slits used for amplifying the sound created by the mallet. When swung, the sword whistles, making an eerie metallic sound. Around the hilt a blue-green tie holds a metal symbol in place, shaped like an X with sharp points on the end.
Shikai abilities:
Whistle Slash- Slashing with the sword creates a whistling noise and using this noise she can throw a pulse of sound from far away.
Chime Pulse- When the mallet strikes the sword a large pulse of sound where the tip of sword is pointing. The pulse that comes from the sword is larger and its energy spreads out to include a larger area when activated. It is most effective when the tip of the blade is thrust into the target.
Echo Pictures (passive) – Karixa can perceive sound waves much in the same way a bat would, making it possible to know where things are in the dark, or outside her line of sight.
Bankai:(Reached) /Tamashiina Jokyoku, take the noise of the world and make it seem like silence./ The sword morphs into a long hand chime, with a handle on the top to keep a firm hold on the over sized thing. On the handle the same ties hold onto a much larger version of the X symbol and on the back of a hand chime the symbol is carved into the metal. It is harder for her to move quickly but now it can be used for defensive purposes easily. She has to keep a grip on it though; otherwise she cannot use any offensive attacks.
Bankai abilities:
Litany Chord- When swung the hand chime lets loose a large pulse of sound, which can hurt a lot. This minor chord can travel farther while still doing a lot of damage.
Composition- Sounds can be created or manipulated from different places and used for distraction or attack. The sounds initialized close to the victims eardrums can leave their ears ringing. Its also possible to prevent sound from coming from places, like one's feet.
Vibrato- The resonate frequency of any solid can be perceived, and duplicated. When amplified it causes the object vibrate, or if used long enough, break. Generally used to vibrate to bones of the opponent, causing extreme pain.
Visible vibrations (passive)- The vibrations that create sounds are now visible, allowing greater perception of any sounds, including those outside of human hearing range or too soft to hear. The vibrations include any within solid objects, meaning that her perception includes anything that is within object, or through them.

Skills: She is good at all things dealing with listening and comprehending music. Her viola skills are fair but she only plays piano to help with her composition work. She has a really good ear in general, whether it is listening to hear music or to the guy across the room.
Bio: Karixa was born with a musical gift. Not to play music, but to compose it. She got into music early, and it was one of the few things that came easy to her. She had trouble with structured classrooms but she muddled through her classes well enough. She learned the piano and the viola, both of which she loved to make up songs for. Besides music, she had her friends, and payed attention to little else. She had an odd fascination with rubber bands and tended to carry one around with her when she was thinking about some composition. Her troubles with structures make it easy for her to want to become a Vizard if she grows bored with what ever squad she joins. That is quite probable. She was killed when she had heard one of her friends had gotten into trouble and went to go get him. What happened was she found out that he had gotten in way of his head with a bad crowd and thus had to get him out.
It was quiet as Karixa wrote at her desk, musing over her composition. The door opened across the room, making Karixa perk up and listen to the high heeled shoes that clacked on the tile floor. It had to be Sammi, since none of her other friends wore high heels. It was weird since Daisuke was usually with her and she did not hear another pair of footsteps coming toward her desk. "Hey Sammi, what happened to Daisuke?" Karixa looked up from her desk at the nervous woman who had entered. "What's up Sammi? You look scared." Sammi nodded and said softly, "Its just I heard Daiske talking and I think he's in some sort of bind." Karixa's green eyes snapped up and looked over Sammi again. "Where?" Karixa's sharp tone seemed to startle Sammi, who babbled in response. "I don't...I just am not sure if-" Karixa stopped her short saying, "You have something, or else you would not be shaking like that. Tell me!" Sammi shuddered but then rattled off an address that made Karixa wince. "That idiot!" She stormed out the door before her friend could say a word and was off for some nasty territory.
She had only heard rumors about this place but when she saw it she was thoroughly convinced ever last one of them was true. What the heck had Daisuke done that he was involved with these people? She stopped short of the door and suddenly turned down a nearby alley. Why were voices coming from down this way. She could recognize Daisuke's subtle tone but the other voices sounded nasty. "You have been given enough chances. And we will take our due..." Karixa started running at the group, and now that she could see them, it was nasty. Three thugs had surrounded her friend and they had sharp objects that were not so subtly concealed. "HEY!" The three thugs turned toward Karixa at the shout, making Daiske even more nervous. "What are you doing here?" "Karixa! Run!" "You should not have meddled with us girl." Karixa smirked nervously as the thugs approached her, saying lightly, "Like I could let you alone to do something stupid. Get outta here before someone gets you hurt." "But Karixa-" "MOVE IT NOW!" Her voice was loud enough to catch everyone off guard and startle them long enough for a reluctant Daisuke to book it. She smiled lightly then turned back to the thugs who were almost on top of her. The first swung at her with a knife, which she dodged, leading straight into a punch to his neck which left him hopelessly gasping for air. She had not learned much about fighting but she knew something at least and that would keep her alive a little bit longer. She tried dodging the next strike but got stabbed in the arm, making her draw back. He tried for a second helping but got a helping of boot to the face instead, facilitated by her leaning on the wall. She turned to the next person but she never quite got there, a gunshot ringing in her ears at her last moment.
Karixa shot through the ranks of Squad Nine and became Vice-Captain of her squad in no time. When Dias had to take a leave of absence he declared that Karixa should take his place. She was fine with it and has started running the Squad in her own way. She's not exactly enthusiastic about all of the rules surrounding her, but isn't bored for the moment.
