It was cold today, but there wasn't any rain or snow - though there was some ice over the top of a few puddles from the shower they'd had yesterday and the low temperatures overnight.
Still, it wasn't a bad day out, and the wintery Scent actually liked this sort of weather. Though a part of him would almost rather there was a blizzard or something. But this was okay too.
Rhiloss smiled a tiny little smile, kicking his feet back and forth where he sat on one of the swings. There weren't too many kids out here yet - since most didn't like the cold as much, but he knew they would show up eventually.
He'd finally managed to convince his parents that the park in Cyrus Square, a couple of blocks down from their house was 'safe' enough for him to walk to by himself - after some time and careful planning. He'd had to be good for weeks on end before getting permission. But now that he was free (more or less), he was almost ... looking for a victim....

Ment Solace was walking back from the market on the blistering cold day. He would have flown, but was afraid Mr. Cane would get frost bitten and that his legs (which were chaffed from the cold and the occasional gust of wind) would stick to them like a warm tongue to a cold pole. This didn't bode well for him, as he was unwilling to change his awesome outfit to accomodate the cold, and instead only threw on a warm fluffy white faux-fur coat.
So there he was, cold, chaffed, but still rather pretty, walking back through Cyrus Square, holding a basket in hand with what was once piping hot loaves of bread, deli meats, and some cheeses. At least he would know the produce wouldn't spoil before he got home.

Rhiloss, on the other hand, wasn't wearing more than a sweater and some pants - not minding the cold in the least. But when he spotted that white fur coat, the young Scent blinked. Then blinked again.
Well well. If it wasn't that annoying boy he'd met early ... though he'd grown a bit now it seemed. Grown up like Ari was...
Oh well, that didn't mean he couldn't still be a victim. With a wild screech, Rhiloss came rocketing off that swing and across the Square toward Ment - not even sure himself what he meant to do. Try to knock him down maybe or just skid to a halt closer enough to startle the other... something.

Ment was off thinking in his own head while Rhiloss made his descision to target him. The enticing thoughts of Arius' pretty face, candy, fur lined clothes, and washing his hair when he got home was enough to put a nice big smile on his face.
Well, there used to be a smile on his face. It quickly turned to a look only deer in headlights could give as he was being bombarded by a screaming white haired boy on a mission to do something.

As it turned out, Rhiloss decided at the last minute on the screech to a half option. Stopping just inches in front of the other, the smaller boy tilted his head to one side and said, "Hi there."

Ment let out a shriek louder than the child's own as he thought the child was going to run into him. He braced himself, shoving the basket of groceries out infront of him, hoping it would absorb most of the impact.
When he realized the child had stopped dead several inches from him, his red flecked freckles dissapeared behind the blush of embarrisment he was forming. Still being his immature self he yelled at the child.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING YOU CRAZY NUT!?"
Though he did not recognize that it was Rhiloss before him.

Rhiloss smiled slowly at that, straightening his head out and just staring at the other. "I was thinking...." he started slowly...
Then reached out and up and poked Ment's nose ... "That it would be fun," the icy scent finished, smirking. And he'd been right. Ment's reaction had been priceless.

"You have a twisted sense of what fun is!" Ment growled, picking up some of the groceries that had fallen out of the basket as he shoved it out infront of him to absorb an impact that never occured.

Rhiloss smirked just faintly at that, rocking back and forth on his heels. "Doesn't everyone?" he asked innocently.
Then quite suddenly went serious again. "You really did look funny. What are you doing?"

"I'm picking up my groceries that fell. I went shopping for my mother." Ment grumbled, standing back up and glared at the cold child.

"Aw isn't that sweet," Rhiloss replied with a little almost secretive smile - so that it was entirely up to Ment whether he was serious or being sarcastic at this point. Really, he had not a care in the world what the other was doing or why. Except that it gave him something to do.

"Well you see, some children are good children and are helpful to their parents instead of burdensome." Ment muttered, having himself situated before getting a better look at Rhiloss. He couldn't quite pin where he had met the kid before, but he knew him from somewhere. Granted, he wished he hadn't, the kid was obviously trouble in a living breathing form.
"Shouldn't you be with your mother or father or something?"
