The nights had been crisp but the weather was finally starting to warm up. Infact today would probably be the first day in a long while none of the students or faculty would need a jacket. Outside, flowers were in bloom, and the ground was no longer mushy from melting snow. Leaves were restoring themselves on all the trees, and grass was beginning to grow tall. Birds and other critters were returning from their migrations or hibernations, and the sun was starting to stay out longer.

Garreth woke up to see a familiar and unwelcome face hovering over him. "Oh Lau, I'm having a nightmare..." he said, turning over in his bed and pulling the covers over his head. Faust ripped away the blankets.

"I just went down to the basement. How long were you intending to hide the fact that he was missing?" he said, anger lacing his voice.

Garreth sat up, scratching his head sleepily as he glared at Faust. "I wasn't hiding it. I felt it would've been better to tell you to your face, and I haven't seen you since the day after the ball." he said, standing up. Faust did not look amused.

"He knows... almost everything. How long has he been gone?" he asked, turning his back to Garreth so the man could change his clothes.

"...since early winter."

"WHAT!?" Faust exclaimed, loud enough to wake the whole top floor and possibly the students downstairs.

Varnis wasn't able to sleep as he stared at the ceiling. He had felt an odd pain the night before, and was unable to sleep due to it. Staring up at the ceiling, he just lied there as his body seemed to rise in temperature. Sitting up, he pushed his legs off the side of the bed, and looked at Damien as he was asleep. Placing his head in his hands he closed his eyes as the pain, and heat started to become worse. "What is this?" He said silently to himself as he felt weakness from not being able to sleep. Trying to stand up, he fell down to the floor. Raiden came over to him as Varnis fell and pushed up against him. Raiden's body temperature was rising as well. Varnis felt how warm Raiden was, but he was unable to do much, except for crawl over to the bathroom, and climb into the shower to let the cold water pour over his head, as he held onto Raiden who was the same way as Varnis.

"Wha-?" Vanna sat up quickly as Faust yelled out. Rubbing her eyes, she looked about and could hear the birds chirping. Smiling, she got out of bed, and walked over to the window as she opened it, and smelled the cool spring air. It reminded her of when she lived in the forest, and smiled. "I miss this scent." She smiled as she turned and leaned against the wall.

Rain of Pain

PostPosted: Sun Feb 22, 2009 7:10 pm

Aoi jumped up on her bed and took a defensive position still half asleep. "Nnno-o You commies..... You can't have my porridge my lip gloss is in there!" She muttered then looked around. "Wha?" She could have swarn that Faust had appeared in her dreams yelling. Paling she slipped her robe on and walked out of her room before peering into Garreth's room. "Oh s**t." She said when she saw a very angry looking Faust.

---

Illidan's eyes shot open as he quickly sat up panting. "Lau Dammit! Why do I keep dreaming about that?!" he cursed loudly while running his fingers through his matted hair. He subconsciously let his fingers linger over his neck before he got up and headed towards his shower.

Once he was done with his shower he braided his hair, or at least the ones that would stay in the braid. The rest of his hair fell around his face weighed down by the water. As he headed down the hallway the water started lifting out of his hair causing it to dry quickly but it left a trail of water all the way down to the cafeteria.

---

Rain started coughing as she sat up. A loud voice had woken her up. She looked around the dark room. before she stumbled to the bathroom still coughing. Her dark, near black, blue eyes stared out from her reflection, she was paler than usual and she couldn't help but shiver because she felt cold for once. "Happy birthday Rain..." she mumbled to herself before getting in the shower.

---

Damien was awoken more so by the shower going off. He sat up slowly and rubbed his eyes. "Ugh... I can already smelled the pheromones." he complained before looking out the window at the blooming flowers and trees.

---

Diente shifted in his bed not exactly wanting to get up His eyes slowly opened and stared at the ceiling as a blush rose to his face. "W-why that was the weirdest dream I have had in quite some time..."

---

Ray laughed to himself as he got up out of his bed and shifted into an exact replica of Diente. Pulling his shirt off he climbed into Theron's bed and propped his head up on one arm before looking at Theron with a grin. "Wake up sleepy head." He cooed.

"And the Lord decreed justice, and his servants obeyed. I wished for truth, and this is the world I found."

The world was collapsing, or so it would seem to anyone near the impact zone. The force had blown the shrine apart, and a pair of corpses were lying on the ground, gutted and with massive gouges in their chests, arms, and faces. Shimmers of aura had lasted for hours, falling from the sky as the remains of the dimensional field enacted by Wish to prevent teleportation dissolved over time. For one looking in, it appeared as if it had been ravaged by some force beyond simple comprehension.

He had not stayed long. The Dragon King had only reappeared twice after that, once for a simple greetings and an observation of classes, and once that had ended he had spoken briefly to Simon, giving him the most basic of information about what he had been given and the responsibility he would need to fulfill in a few years.

Near had not returned since.

On occasion Simon had been seized by dull pain, but for the most part it was gone. It had now been three weeks since the
Saraiia had last acted up, and it was showing no signs of resurgence. Occasional surges of power had been sensed by him (through it?), but all were far away, barely on the edge of his perception, even enhanced by this odd thing.

It had taken him a long time to research it, with little success. Apparently, the "gift" was a strange sort of device, meant as a charm against harm originally. Over time it had grown, evolved into something incomprehensible and dangerous: it could consume matter freely, with little regard for such typical earthly things as inefficiency and loss of energy. Perhaps, he feared, these people would use it as a weapon of war to end whatever struggle they must be going through. That had not yet died down, and the longer he went without hearing anything the more acute it had become.

As for Vel, there was little notable for him. Small discoveries, a few useful but most hardly, and little progress made towards his final goal. He had become more skilled in combat but was never the best, nor did he aim to be (in that field). The artistic efforts he pursued had become of greater quality, though, and there was a subtle change growing in his aura and perception of the world.

Of these beings from the western part of the world, there was little news. A brief piece in a publication he had seen attributed a small uprising's brief quelling to them, and there had been one particularly disturbing scene: a feral, rogue Were utterly destroyed, silver swords nearly four feet long driven through each of its paws, its heart, and its skull. He had not talked to people about this image, though perhaps others had seen it. But no follow-up ever surfaced and there was little to think about afterward.

Desdemona laid on her bed, on top of her covers. She could hear people beginning to get up after that loud shout. She sat up and swung her legs off the bed and sat there looking at the ground. She had been ignoring Illidan as hard as she could-- but that's difficult when he is a teacher...more difficult when he plagued her dreams and thoughts.

Rolling her shoulders back and forth then raising her arms to stretch, to got off the bed and sat in a meditative position on the floor. Slowly her eyes began to glow-- she did as she had been instructed by Ronan. She let the power flow through her, instead of fighting it. Yes, she eventually went to him for help. She had no where else to turn, so she really had no choice. After a moment of zen, she grounded herself and dressed in dark pants and a black corset. She laced up her knee-high boots then walked outside her room to the dining hall. She met up with Ronan half way there, he probably planned it.

"Come." He began walking at a brisk pace, Desdemona followed at a slower pace behind him. They reached the doorway to the dining hall, he grabbed her arm before she could go in. "You proceeded with your trainings." He stated rather than asked. She nodded solemnly and stiffened when she felt a familiar presence. She saw Illidan walking towards the dining hall. She turned and walked quickly to the student table, raising a hand to acknowledge Ronan when he called out, "I will be in my classroom."

Garreth's eyes traveled over to his door where he saw Aoi, giving her a look as if to say 'help me' as he finished lacing up his boots.

"I'm going to see my granddaughter." he said, saying the last word as if it left a bitter taste in his mouth. "She more than likely had something to do with this."

"Wait," Garreth said, making his final adjustments to himself before following Faust to the door. The white-haired man flung it open the rest of the way and saw Aoi standing there. He looked back at Garreth, waiting for him to speak. "I think the prince was involved, as well. He disappeared around the time he visited the school."

"Namen is toast." he said simply, pushing past Aoi and running downstairs. He started banging random students doors, not even sure of which room was Namen's.

--

Theron woke up before the loud knocks started. He blinked a few times as things came into focus. He saw Diente's face and yawned. "Mornin'..." he said, letting his face fall onto the naked chest. His eyes flew open suddenly, and he started scrambling away from him, rolling off the bed and landing on the floor. "Oh my Lau, don't punch me please! You're in my room. I did nothing! Be merciful!"

--

Namen's eyes flew open when she heard a bunch of knocking out in the hall. "What's going on...?" she mumbled, sitting up. Her messy white hair was now most of the way down her back again, and her bangs had recently been cut short again to keep the thick mass out of her face. She scratched at the back of her head sleepily as she stood up and opened the window rather than the door. "Here's my escape." she added to no one in particular through a yawn, recognizing the way the knocks sounded.

Markis had woken up to the knockings on random doors, and moved about some tying to get comfortable. "Stop that banging! People are trying to sleep!" He yelled out before he lied down on his stomach, and placed the pillow over his head trying to block out the noise.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vanna heard the random knocking on the doors. "Who would ruin such a good morning?" She said out loud as she opened the door, and saw Faust walking down and knocking on the doors. Walking back into her room, she almost slammed the door shut as she got back into her room. Leaning out the window, she looked down the wall at the ground, before looking up at the trees and breathed in the fresh spring air.
Tara had jumped when the shout was given by Garreth and then again when Faust was knocking. She had been up already and was watching the nature outside her window. " they'll be near here this time of year " She said to herself as she smiled her own longhair now past her but and had gone wavy. She sighed and brushed it out as she got dressed and cared for Echo's incapacitated body.
Julia hadn't been awake though and jumped whens he had a dream of nothing important. " stupid clowns...scary stupid clowns "S he shivered and got dressed making her way towards the cafeteria feeling decent.
Rain of Pain
PostPosted: Sun Feb 22, 2009 7:56 pm
Aoi was shoved out of the way of the angry Faust. "Well... today will be eventful won't it?" she asked Garreth still looking after Faust as he stormed off.
---
Diente got up and opened the door when it was knocked on. He saw Faust and looked puzzled at how angry the man looked. "Good morning Mr. Mali... Is something the matter?" he called after him while peering into the hallway.
---
Damien opened the door and peered out as well before he looked over to Diente. They exchanged confused glances before he slipped back into his room and started changing clothes. He could shower after breakfast.
---
"s**t!" Ray exclaimed as he tried to quickly shift back to his regular form because he thought whoever was banging on the door was going to come in. Since there was a height difference between Ray and Diente her legs had to become longer. On the process of returning to their Ray height one of her legs made a disgusting cracking sound. He let out a pained cry as he curled up in a ball grasping at his leg. "Oh Lau, oh Lau, oh Lau! I did that too fast! Oh Lau... that really hurt!" he sobbed before biting his lip as there was another pop signaling that his leg was fixed. Lying there for a moment he had beads of sweat appear along his forehead. He suddenly sat up and ran, in a limping fashion, to the bathroom slamming the door behind him, the faint sounds of him gagging could be heard.
---
Rain came out of the shower and was drying her hair as she heard banging on the door. Looking confused she quickly dress and opened the door. "What the?" She stopped her question short as she started coughing again. She looked back into her room and noticed that Namen seemingly staring out of the window.
---
Illidan felt his chest tighten for a second which caused him to look up. But he saw no one. He sat there not moving for a moment before he put his face in palms. "Maybe I should just leave... This place doesn't seem good for me..." No I made a promise to my friend... I can't just leave...
PostPosted: Sun Feb 22, 2009 8:17 pm
Faust turned quickly to the voice that spoke as Garreth came down the stairs next. He stared at Diente for a moment. "Which room is Namen's?" he asked, smiling pleasantly, though it still looked a bit scary.
Namen sat on the window sill as she heard Faust ask, but she didn't go any farther. Only made herself comfortable where she was sitting. "Might as well get his over with, hm?" she said, yawning again as Garreth opened Namen and Rain's door the rest of the way. He didn't want to subject Diente to Faust's temper if the boy chose to get smart with him, of which he was sure Diente wouldn't, but one could never be to sure.
"Over here, Faust." he said, motioning for Rain to leave the room as Faust stormed in, crossing his arms and staring down his granddaughter.
--
Theron raised a brow as he pulled himself up from the floor. "That was awkward..." he mumbled, standing completely and shaking his head as he started to get dressed.
Rain of Pain
PostPosted: Sun Feb 22, 2009 8:45 pm
Aoi had followed behind Garreth and Faust. She remained quiet as Faust looked ready to tear up the earth around him.
---
Rain looked back at Namen and bowed her head apologetically, "Sorry Namen, I'm going to be right outside in the hall." She reassured her friend as she walked out into the hall. She sat down next the wall and rung out her hair a little bit.
Diente looked perplexed as he left his room and crouched next to Rain. "What's going on?" he asked her in a whisper. He hadn't actually taken a look at Rain till she leaned a bit towards his neck area.
"You smell awful nice in the morning you know that?" She murmured while opening her mouth next to his throat.
Diente grabbed her and roughly shoved her against the wall. He looked angry for a moment before he shook his head vigorously. "What the hell are you doing?" he hissed at her before noticing how hot she felt. The very fact that she felt anything other than cold to him was alarming. He noticed the darkness of her eyes as well, "Come on." He urged while pulling her to her feet and then into his room. Seeing that Markis was still asleep he pulled her into his bathroom and grabbed one of his daggers.
Once in the bathroom he locked the door and grabbed a cup that he used to rinse his mouth out in the morning. He gingerly cut his wrist and held it over the cup pressing on the cut to force the blood to come out and drip into the cup. Rain stared at the blood and had to wrap her arms around herself to keep from trying to attack him. Once the cup was full, a visibly pale Diente thrusted it towards her. She in turn took it and drank it greedily. After she finished she closed her eyes for a few minutes.
---
Ray laid on the bathroom floor for a few minutes before he stood up shakily and splashed water on his face. The intense pain he had felt made him want to vomit but since he hadn't eaten anything nothing had actually happen. He slowly opened the bathroom door, "Sorry about that... I've learned my lesson, I won't do that again anytime soon..." He shuddered while rubbing his right leg.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 22, 2009 8:59 pm
Markis wasn't fully asleep as the two walked into the room, and headed into the bathroom. He cought a glimpse of Rain before the bathroom door was closed, and locked. Sitting up, he looked about, and ignored the fact that Rain was in the bathroom with Diente. Sitting up in the bed, he wrapped the blanket around him as he got a chill up his back. pushing his legs off the side of the bed, he sat there, not really wanting to get out of bed.
Simon slipped out of bed, adjusting the fine necklace he wore as it had nearly fallen off during the night. With a few slight movements he got dressed and walked over to his bathroom to wash up.
In the middle of walking he was interrupted by an (extremely) loud shout, promptly followed by a pounding on all the doors in the hallway, and decided to make things quick. Staring into the water that pooled in the small sink, he reached into it to fetch out a small piece of soap and pulled it out easily, placing it on the edge.
Finishing washing up, he pulled a pair of shortswords he had gotten a long time back onto his belt, sheathing them on the outside of his legs. The time had made him skilled now, but for a moment he felt...in tune with things. Just for a moment.
Stepping out into the hallway, he thought back for a second. No ripples? Maybe I just imagined it.
-
With a few quick steps, Vel made his way out the door and walked down the hall, following Garreth and co. The hell is going on this time?
Namen smiled at Rain as she left, then turned her attention to her grandfather. "I imagine I don't need to ask what you're upset about." she said, tilting her head. "Dad?"
Faust laughed darkly. "Why would you do that, Namen?" he asked, grabbing her by the shoulders. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't gentle, either.
"He's my father. What other reason do I need?" she asked, frowning. Faust stared at her, and she could feel the intensity of his gaze. He opened his mouth to speak and she flung her arms around him suddenly. "Don't make me leave!" she cried. Faust peeled her off of him and sat her down firmly on the bed.
"What good would that do me?!" he exclaimed, pacing a bit. "It's not going to bring him back here. Do you have any idea what you've done?! I'd kill you if you weren't my own flesh and blood..." he growled.
"Then rid the world of another useless person." Namen said, sitting in a lounging position. "You have no problem doing it to anyone else. You have no problem imprisoning innocent people."
"Don't push me, Namen." Faust said, looking dangerously at her. "You're not going anywhere. I don't want you catching up to that c**k roach, so you're staying right here. Now tell me how you got him out."
"The prince came and I asked him to." she said simply. "And dad's princess was with him. It worked out perfect." she added, grinning a bit. Faust felt his hand twitching. How badly he wanted to slap his own grandchild!
"I'm disowning you!" he exclaimed, leaving her room. He looked at Garreth. "She can do whatever the hell she wants. She's no longer my grandchild if she chooses that filth over the man that raised her." he growled. "I'll be back after I see what I can dig up." he finished, storming out of the building. Namen walked toward the hallway, crossing her arms as she stood in the doorway. She was smiling a bit, but it wasn't completely triumphant or pleased.
"Not how I'd planned it..." she muttered to herself.
--
Theron knew he probably shouldn't have been laughing, but he was anyway. "Oh, you got me though!" he cried, sitting down to pull his boots onto his feet. "I wish I could've seen the look on my face." he chuckled.
Rain walked out of the bathroom closely followed by Diente. But she stopped moving causing her friend to run into the back of her. She saw Markis sitting up. Her now Bright blue, slightly glowing, eyes stared at him as she looked at Diente then left the room. She headed back towards Her room and peered in at Namen. "Hey... What happened?" she asked While making her way into the room. Something wasn't quite settling right in her.
---
Diente looked at Markis before scratching his head. "She needed blood." he stated simply even if he didn't want to know. So that way no mistakes could be made about their friendship. He watched his wrist for a moment as it healed up. He cleaned his blade and washed up for breakfast.
---
Ray laughed breathlessly, "It was pretty damn amusing." He admitted while throwing on a shirt and not even bothering with his hair. He slipped on his own boots and headed out the door while shaking his leg to make sure it was ok.
