Whilst a child Cybil contracted a deadly illness with no cure. In an attempt to get their daughter to a doctor in another town who supposedly came up with a solution, her parents tried to carry their sick daughter over the borderline. They were both executed as 'traitors', and their daughter was left to die.
Luckily not long after a team of werewolves(the opposing side of the war) came upon the scene. The team leader convinced the others that the child should be taken care of, and could be brought up as one of their own.
And so it was, Cybil was bitten by a werewolf to cure her illness and unofficially adopted into the Kastor household, which already had two children close to her own age living under the roof.
The whereabouts of her brother is unknown. He's presumed to be dead.
