Ok
when i was younger I was at my dad's house, and we were all sleeping and my step mom heard giggling and told us to be quite, then she heard peoplewalking up and down the stairs and went to check on us and we were all asleep, the next day she told us about it and whist my dad was walking down the steps she had heard the noises on, he ell through into the celler.
this is expeically weird since we got the house really cheap because the cellar was suposidly haunted and we were warned not to open it and we did then same day this all happened.

The midnight staff have always told the newbies on the shift about the spooky events that take place during the night. From weird noises, whispers, and footsteps (in a place where the residents are sleeping but require wheel chairs to move around) to seeing balls of light, and pictures or keys falling off their hooks for no apparent reason.
The weirdest was when the staff from the previous shift hadn't turned the radio off, but had the volume right down. And a couple of times during the night the radio flared into life as if someone had cranked the volume way up, but no one was around it to even tamper with the controls. eek

When I was a child I woke up one night/early morning to see a young girl stood over my bed, crying. Shortly after I went through a partiularly nasty child abuse case.
Nothing happened after that for a few years or so, when things in the kitchen (Which was directly below my bedroom) started moving, my mum would wake up and find the kettle had just finished boiling when she got into the living room. We'd go out shopping and come home to find the washing machine in the middle of the floor (When switched off), But we eventually lived with these things as they didn't seem too bad (That and my mum apriciated the kettle being ready for tea first thing in the morning).
About 5 years ago things got worse, with doors opening if their own accord, someone running in the hall, as if they were running through the front door, we even came home one day to find the front door wide open. About 6 months after these things started happening the house fell into a 20 foot hole (There was an abandoned mine shaft underneath and it's rafters just give).
Thoroughly spooked my mum went to see a medium who told her there was a little girl that had lived in our (Or should I say her) house that wanted to apologise for scaring us. She was trying to tell us to get out, because she could see what was happening under our home.
We have a feeling she moved with us. My mum never has to boil the kettle first thing in the morning.......

Once, well sleeping at my grandmother's house, not long after my grandfather died, me and my best friend heard a radio playing. She asked me where that was coming from, and we searched all over but couldn't find anything. Then, after we went to bed, it stopped and I saw a kinda faded form of a man in a WWII pilots uniform (I watch alot of history channel). I didn't know who he was. He just stood there and smiled at me. Then he reached out, and I tried to touch his hand, but my hand went right through. He dissapeared after that. My grandma was showing us pictures the next day and one of them was of my grandfather in his pilot's uniform during WWII. It was the same man I saw the night before. My hand was cold for a few days.

I have seen ghosts twice
the first time, I was at my friends house, and for weeks she had been telling me her house was full of dead children, haunting her family, Well, weird things did happen while I visited, and still do happen. One time though, something fell from the ceiling, a shadow thing, about the size of her cat. It sorta came from her door, and dissapeared after. I watched the area for awile, and then shrugged it off.
The second time is far more scary, I was terrified. I was sick, lying in my bed alone. My door had been open a crack to let in some light, because when I am sick i am scared of the dark, dunno why. Well my door opened about half way and I rolled over and looked out it to see who was there, my eyes locked on the person at the door, leaning in my doorway, watching me. Then the freakiest thing happend,I tried to lift myself on my elbows to see who was looking at me, but I couldn't move! i was frozen, and my eyes were stuck staring at the shadow in my doorway, I tried to yell at it to come over, but i couldn't move my mouth, or make enough sound to make a word( just a short moan) , I tried to move, I tried really hard. Finally i manged to move my arm, and the shadow seemed to expand, and it looked like some monster shadow thing was in my room, but after a few seconds of examining it, it was only the shadow in the courner of my room and my door...but the human shaped shadow was nowere! it really scared me!

me im new to the guild....so yeah but anywho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one night when i was "5" years old the house that i had been living in used to belong to a lady who apparently loved china, when my parents cleaned out the attic they found some chine from west germany from the 80's and such like old glasses and records and stuff.... but after we had found that stuff i heard weird noises towards the end of the hall by my room... so later we slept and about 3:15 in the morning i woke up from some bizarre nightmare i looked out my door (my bed was on a angle from the door along a wall so i could look into the hall to my sisters room) there i saw a DARK figure shaped like a woman hunched just a bit it seemed to be looking into my room... i freaked went under the covers and looked up "it" was in the middle of my room! i got freaked again!....... i go under the covers again look up and its at the foot of my bed!!!........ i screamed and ducked i peaked a bit later it was gun.... 10 seconds later my partents came in.... i told them what happened and they didnt believe me.......so its just a memory i dont really like to talk about it much but i tend to go to the cemetary at night to hopefully see a "ghost"

I believe there is a spirit of some type in my house. It may be evil, or there may be more than one. I will sit in the back room of our house, where the computer is, and I will glance up occaisonally. Sometimes when I glance up, I see a huge shadow pass over the door, then fade to nothing. Once, this presence even attacked me, making it hard to breathe. (I have never had asthma)
I believe this prescence is following me now, and attacking me at school as well. Our school is supposed to be haunted, and many of my friends have seen ghosts roaming the halls, including the most infamous, the Lady in Red.
The Lady in Red has many stories telling how she came to haunt the school. I have my own theory, however. The school building was built in 1913, and it was built only to be a school. There are three floors on the building, but the third floor is banned, and you can only go up there with a teacher. I believe, for certain reasons like the ghost possibly possesing me, the Lady in Red committed suicide by going up to the third floor, opening a window, and jumping down. There are stories of the school being a hospital, or even a hotel, at one time, but I know these to be untrue. I am very sensitive to prescences, and it scares me what they can do to you.

The scariest thing i remember was the strange man from my dream that had burst into flames, i felt as if he was right outside my bedroom door that was wide open, and he was waiting for me to sleep so he could kill me, and i saw a bright orange colored outline (possibly aura) there. the next day, i just didn't have the stomach to nap. crying

If ANYONE here has ever played any of the Fatal frame games ( Fatal Frame, Fatal Frame 2 Crimson Butterfly, Fatal Frame 3 The Tormented, or Fatal Frame 4 Mask of the Lunar Eclipse,) they all involve paranormal and supernatural backgrounds of ghosts and tortured/ tormented spirits, it's very scary, but if you watch people play it it's funny to listen to the player scream there head off lol. whee BUT it still is scary and I would like to play it.
