Yes, I forever damn the writers (or whoever made the call) for doing that. Peter isn't Peter, and Hiro isn't Hiro.

For a time, I was saying to myself, "As long as one of them doesn't say 'I don't need powers to be a Hero,' it should be fine. Then, Hiro uttered the cursed line last night, I have lost faith as well.

The Peter situation is fixable, though. I see two possibilities: Ando can charge up Peter, giving him is powers back (although, I don't think this would work because Peter wouldn't be charged up forever.) The other and simplier possibility is that Peter will eventually learn to keep more than one power at a time. I think this is the better one because he had to learn how to keep more powers in the first season as well.

Hoenstlt, neither of those things bother me, but I must say this season has made quite the turn.
The story is much more concise, but at the price of making less confusing stories they've decided to add in some unnecessary scenes (e.g. Hiro in India).

Other than that I'm not hating this season Chapter.

It's called character development. I think this volume is fantastic so far. It's the most realistic and the whole theme (us vs. them) makes for a highly entertaining show.

That's true I suppose. I like the storyline of this season, and now I can live in almost hope that Peter may be able to eventually have more than one power again.

yeah, them losing their powers dosnt change who they are.
the only thing thats bothering is how slow and boring this season is being compared to the others. and judging from the painting at the end of chapter four it looking like the same plot as seasons one and two :/

Yes, I do like character development, but I think they could have gone at it a different way than 'OK... let's take his powers... and... his powers.' As you guys have stated, it isn't all about powers. Then why should it have to be? The characters could still develop with their powers. Take Season 1 for example. Hiro fell in love with Charlie, and because of his loss, he was able to be stronger. His powers had nothing to do with it. Same thing with Peter when he was being trained by Claude. Yeah, he was honing his powers, but he also got courage.

Matt is developing in this season. His overcome 'loss' of Daphne drove him to become a better fighter.

So I agree with all of you... I just think they didn't have to take their powers away for no reason.

Other than that, this volume is amazing. The scene where Sylar came out of the van and was dressed as a guard was epic.

think for yourself

The story could not happen the way it has been happening if Peter still had his powers. He could just save everyone in a single episode. He needed to have his powers taken away for the sake of the current conflict. I cannot even begin to guess where the writers are going with Hiro, but we all know they know what they are doing.

Yeah... we can only hope they know what they're doing.

i think taking away hiro's power was one of few ways to really change him. he was so annoying with his powers and always leaving ando out. I think him losing his powers is good karma and good story logic. He always bossed ando around and left him out of things. Now hiro has to learn to share heroism and learn about the lives of normal people in this whole mess.

as for peter, as Synthetic Anomaly stated, if peter had his original abilities during this chapter. how hard would it be for him to take down the hunter and all of them. think of sylar but more powerful. wouldn't be much of a story. plus i think this tone down of peter is so much better because he didn't even bask in his powerfulness. he barely used his powers and he didn't even know how to use them. now he has full control and he can evolve at his own pace (and not blow things up)
