I have been reading about real vampirisim and other kins of all kinds latley. I have begining to notice some of the simmalarities between the descriptions of what some of the sensations are and what some of the life styles are like.
So, if some one could help me out that would be great. Thank you.

Vampirism is a condition where you feed off other's life energies to supplement the lacking or lessening of your own.
Therianthropes are those of us in tune to our inner beast(s) and accepting of our attributes linking us to them, our feral natures.
Otherkin are those that have the spirit of something from another plane of existance like elves and other fae beings, devine beings, arcane beings, or even elementals.
That's the best answer I have to what you seem to be asking.

I do believe I saw a stickie or announcement describing each of the kin... But if you're wondering if you are or not then that's another story.
Awakenings (when you realize or wake up to the reality of what you are) are always crazy and different. Sometimes a group will help you find this truth, but usually it comes on its own. I'm not trying to shut you down as a poser or a want-to-be. But when you know, you'll know.
Not that some people don't still have doubts. Heck, I've been Awake for three years and I still question. I know some people who were Awake at birth and they still ask. But it's just one of those things that you know. As you read more about Otherkin (I'm using it as a general term) you'll start to know. It sounds corny and whatnot, but from everyone that I've met agrees, more or less. So, just keep poking around and you'll know...
Oh, and some of us Otherkin don't come from other planes. Some of us are from the same plane and world as everyone else...

Sorry sweatdrop I was interpreting that since there are otherkin that their phenotype aren't earth bound creatures...elves and such aren't exactly recognized races or species more astral creatures much like gryphins "angels" or "demons".

Sorry sweatdrop I was interpreting that since there are otherkin that their phenotype aren't earth bound creatures...elves and such aren't exactly recognized races or species more astral creatures much like gryphins "angels" or "demons". speaking bout phenotypes or what one is. I have been giving alot of though as to what I am... I have not come to any conclusion yet so I still remain at what I stated beforehand. As a Psi/Sanguine Vampire. That leans heavily on Psi rather than sanguine feeding. Its jsut I have not been feeding much lately up until rcently. Yet I was still able to function with somewhat normaility as I go... So I am looking into things as I type this even... I will be sure to keep everyone posted and updated on what conclusions I come too.

No worries. biggrin There are just so few of us Otherkin here that I figured I'd speak up for us. And a lot of Otherkin do believe that they came from other planes and whatnot. A lot of them. But there are some of us Earth Elves, I guess you'd call us. But we are a big, big, big minority... As I'm finding out more and more as I try and find some of us... Ah well.

As i msut personally say she did a excellent job at not openly stating her question. but it is there. What she is asking is this. Since we are what we are within this guild. Be it Vampire or Therian or Otherkin as I know we have a couple members who are. She is trying to help distinguish the "Life Stylers" and "the Real" versions of each of them. As in sayign to a person that goes out and buys the fake fangs, wears the vampiric clothing and whatnot. Because they want to be/ Henceforth being a vampire "Life Styler." As opposed to the members fo the guild who dont try to be what they already are. Hope that helped you out some lol.

Well if I was a lifestyler, I wouldn't join a true vamp guild without saying I was just a lifestyler. I would go out and join a gothic or vampire lifestyling guild.
