This will be two compiled lists, one for occult authors of informational books and one for works of fiction.
If you have a suggestion, just post who they are and a link to site if they have one and a few of the books they've written. I'll add your suggestion to the list when I get the chance.

You have McCoy listed by her first name wink You want good authors, or all authors? Because I have some with "WARNING! WARNING! Avoid at ALL COSTS!" as well as good ones wink Okay! Good authors.... Buckland, Raymond: "Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft" (Aka "Uncle Bucky's Big Blue Book") and "Wicca for One" Sabin, Thea: "Wicca For Beginners" Paxson, Diana S: "Taking Up the Runes", "Essential Asatru" Krasskova, Galina: "Exploring the Northern Tradition" Webb, Hillary S.: "Exploring Shamanism" Higginbotham, River and Joyce: "Paganism: a Guide to Earth-Centred Religions" There are more, but I can't remember them right now. So I'll add more later. And just a head's up: McCoy knows s**t about the Celts. In fact she's been accused of racism, cultural misappropriation and religious bigotry. So read her, but do so with a grain of salt, at least when it comes to her books on Celtic stuff. ALWAYS, concerning stuff like this, go on Amazon.com and read the negative reviews. The scholars will have had a flick through and if you're getting reviews saying "cultural rape" or "offensive" or "I ritually destroyed this book", you know it's not above board as far as the information goes. I always do this with books on Paganism, as so many of them are filled with lies, bad research, or false information. You can disagree with bad reviews, sure, but they do give you a heads-up as to what the book is like. When it comes to cultural stuff like this, it's important to get good information.

oh so Extravagant... Whoops, thanks for catching that. Thanks for the suggestions. And yes I do want ALL authors. I'm going to add a warning about looking into authors and not mindlessly following their word, but I'm not being select with who I add to the list. I think it's important to read the good and the bad

I'm not going to add them then... there are some authors so hideously bad I wouldn't want to encourage looking into them even a little bit wink Unless you add something saying "This is how not to do it" xd Conway and Blum jump to mind.

oh so Extravagant... No offense, but did you ever perhaps think that just because you don't like the way they do things, doesn't make them explicitly "wrong"? I'm not trying to be mean but you're being awful negative about almost everything. I want this cult to promote learning and understanding and openness to everything and everyone. Everyone does thins differently.

I'd like to recommend "The Secret Teachings of All Ages" by Manly P. Hall. It's a survey of major esoteric philosophy/religion and I found it quite helpful as a starting point when I first became interested in studying diverse forms of spirituality and magic. If I can think of anything else, I'll post.

I'd suggest The Modern Pagan by Brian Day
I don't know if he's another author with a big warning sign over them, but I would say that reading that book has helped me understand local Pagans better.

Sanguina Cruenta I'm not going to add them then... there are some authors so hideously bad I wouldn't want to encourage looking into them even a little bit wink Unless you add something saying "This is how not to do it" xd Conway and Blum jump to mind. Silver Ravenwolf jumps to mind to. I've heard so many practicing wiccans bash her, and by the title of some of her books it even makes me wary as to if she's only in it for the money and not to truly spread the word about the religion.
 Donate 5k? Thanks! heart
