I find that I write better, while I listen to music. I was wondering, if anyone also found it easier to write, while listening to music. If music does help you write what do you listen to? If it dose not, why does it not help?

I don't mean to sound rude... but I couldnt help notice that you spelt 'does' wrong a few times. It isn't spelt 'dose', it's 'does'.
As for your question, I do not listen to music when I write, and when I do find myself listening to music as I am writing, I tend to use almost the same words as the lyrics in the music. So I try to avoid listening to music while writing as much as I can.

If I'm working on a specific part of my books, I tend to turn on music that matches the emotion I'm attempting to convey, I find it keeps me in that mindset better, and helps make the emotion easier to project into the story.

I listen to music while I draw, does that count? : D ?

Though I can't run into the same problem was Ryan-Tye this way, the song can have an effect on the overall direction or feeling of the drawing.

Writing poems I often listen to music and often I search for titles, that fit to the mood of the poem. But when I'm writing I prfer to listen to music without lyrics. They are deflecting me too much.
I have been writing a poem listening to a song from Guano Apes (You can find it in my Journal) and had to change a few lines, because they were from the song. So music helps me sometimes in the beginning, but I have to be carefull not to copy it.

whee I listen to music when i need insiration. It helps when i write stories and whatnot but it makes writing songs a bit more difficult than need be...
