Do you read/write fanfiction?

I read the stuff. It breaks my heart sometimes when I find someone with an awesome story idea/plot but they use is to write with someone else's characters and not there own...

I write originals, not Fanfiction, however I have considered mixing somewhat for an original with the author's permissions.
