Awh, he's adorable! <3 What kind of dog is he?

My parents just bought two new puppies a couple weeks ago - my mom has been spamming my inbox (both text and email...) with photos of them.
Meet Tuffy and Scruffy. (And Missy, our older dog.)

He's a cross between a flatcoated retriever and a stabyhoun. The mother was very peaceful and looked great and our puppy was very relaxed when my mother put him on her lap, so unless we ******** up we're going to have a very neat and friendly dog.

Our previous dog was very stubborn and did not like other dogs very much. He was a fun dog and he was great with children/me, but the moment another dog came close he'd get aggressive. ... No matter the size of the dog, he picked fights with dogs twice his size. Hopefully this one will be less inclined to do that.

Hammi and doggies are all so cute. biggrin

kmkm - that's also adorable.

Aldo - Missy was kind of like that when she was younger...anytime there was anything threatening our property, be it a big dog or a bluejay, she'd bark like crazy and try to chase it. And according to my mother, Tuffy (who is, mind you, smaller than the cat I posted a picture of) will run the wild turkeys out of their yard. Scruffy apparently doesn't care.

But at least you know you have to be careful so your new puppy doesn't end up that way...I know some people who don't seem to realize at all that the way they treat their dog has such a big effect on the dog's behavior.

I don't have any current pictures of my dog, but here's a picture of him as a puppy, years and years ago:

Part doberman, part German shepherd and part chow. He's much bigger now (he used to be able to curl up in my lap, now he... still does, but it's a lot more uncomfortable), but still acts like a huge baby.

I had a picture of my cat here but he's not cute :U

We're very serious with raising dogs, our previous dog was kinda damaged when we got him, he was bought up by a dog trader and kept in a kennel with dozens of other puppies to be sold for profit. This time we went to some farmers close-by who just love dogs, they already had two of their own and when we visited two more dogs were visiting from friends of theirs. They seemed good people.

Dog before that was a huge animal, also very alpha male. I actually thought my parents would go for a female this time, but apparently they like males better or something. I don't know.

This is my bunny last year when we got him. Now he's a lot bigger and meaner. D: Dunno why he's so mean to us, we played with him and let him run around and petted him ... ah well. He bites when we try to feed him. Actually that's really the only time he bites or is mean is when we reach in the cage. Once he's out, he's fine. I guess he's really territorial? Or we just didn't play with him enough as a baby. sweatdrop It's my first time with a bunny.

Anyway. Yeah. |:

Awwwh, he's really cute. Bunnies are so cute and cuddly looking...but we had the exact same thing happen with the two bunnies we have. They were very cuddly and liked being held and petted and played with when they were tiny, but now they're HUGE and get grumpy if you pet them.
...well, one of them doesn't mind. But the other one is meeeaaan.

Bunnies look cute, but I can't imagine them being much fun as pets to play with. @o@

I have a pitbull mix named Dixie Maria Juarez Guadalupe Rodriguez. (Dixie for short.) She's gonna be four in May and she's the sweetest thing ever.
