Brownie: She was a lab rat, very sweet. This year, my sister was still at the house, so she basicly owned her. But one day Brownie was walking VERY slowly. So Beth (sister) tried to comfort her with ... sorry got a tear on the keyboard. So Beth tried to comfort her with a shoe box full of soft fluffy towels. But Brownie was still fading. Day 4 of keeping Brownie alive, the family decided it was time to let her go. We put her in the freezer (on which is the softest way to die for rats) and then we gave her a proper burial.
Morgan: There were 2 surprising things about her death.
1. Brownie died before her and Morgan was supposed to be OLDER then Brownie
2. Mom had given Morgan a cookie and she was happy and jumpy. Then 5 minutes later I came back (mom was gone btw) and Morgan was sitting really still ... she looked asleep but her back was going slightly up and down with breathing. I ran upstairs to the computer to tell mom, but she kept refusing it was true. Then I finally screamed at her to check on Morgan. Mom was so shocked she automaticly stood up and went to go check what the fuss was about.
Well Morgan was dead. But I'm still not so sure. I'm afraid we burried her while she was still alive. I wanted to dig up the box and check her heart beat, cause mom didn't and I forgot.
Kemo: She was the sweetest naked rat anyone would of ever known. Kemo never bit, never ran off when someone was holding her, and she would squeak when she was happy in sweetest way. Everyone loved her. Kemo was as soft and sweet as her visible skin.
Once she died we gave her a burial spot where she was kept away from the other animals. I wrote a poem for her and Beth cried and slept at the spot where Kemo was buried that night. The next morning I found a bead art thing of a blond cat, but as I stared at it, I found it looked like Kemo so I made a more special and longer poem and blessed the bead art figure to take care of Kemo on the other side.
They were all so special and I'm afraid I'm gonna start crying again.
