It was raining. Rain was better then snow though, Kiyoshi didn't really like the snow unless it was unmoving on the ground when it got up in the air it started to scare him a little bit. Due to the rain the archery range was closed which saddened the boy a bit, he had a lesson today and had been excited to go there and train only to be interrupted by the rain. As such they, his Dad and him, had ended up at an arcade instead.
It wasn't exactly the same but it was something to do, a way to spend the afternoon and there were lots of games there to play. Most of what was here was nothing that Kiyoshi had gotten to play before.
"I will wait for you here." Hari said, going to the tables that were set up for the parents to sit at that didn't want to have to maneuver through the hordes of small children. The red head handed some small bills to the boy so he could get himself some tokens to play the games.
Kiyoshi looked down at the money in his hand before giving a nod, turned and trotted off into the crowd. It was crowded here but due to where he spent a lot of his time both at the archery range and Steel Soul where his parents worked he was getting more and more comfortable among large groups of people. His first stop was the token machine where he fed all of money into it and the tokens he got back were quickly stuffed into his pocket.

"Hurry! Hurry!" Said the small pocky boy to his guardian, Anthony. The older man on the other hand was trying to hold his umbrella over his head while at the same time not step into any splashing puddles. "We have to hurry!" The small boy rushed him to no extent. Nes had personally liked sunny weather more than the rain, because he felt more free than when it rained. Anthony forced him to wear a raincoat when it was pouring and he just wanted to tear it up.
"Not so fast!" Anthony said desperately as he continued to be tugged by the young boy. "We're almost there, so will you please slow dooooown?!" He tried to demand but to no prevail. The young boy just pulled harder and the two glided off through falling raindrops and deep puddles.
Eventually, the two got to the arcade. It was just like a normal arcade stuffed with kids up to your armpits and the sound of video games that meshed into one obscure noise. Nes stopped and took off his raincoat hastily before handing it over to Anthony. He wanted to dash off but with a quick move of his hand, Anthony caught the boy by the back of his corset. "Hold it there, mister." He said sternly. "You'll need this. No more after you're done. I'll be over there." He said as he pointed to the area where the other parents were sitting and waiting for their children to let out all their energy. The young boy nodded happily as Anthony placed a couple of bills in Nes' pocket. "Don't lose it." He said lastly before patting the pocky boy on the head and giving him a light shove to get him going into the Arcade.

Kiyoshi was walking along, looking back and forth as he took in all of the different sorts of games. There were games about racing, about fight, about shooting things, there were even dancing game and singing games. He found himself starring at the one with the dancing in a mesmerized manner. There was brightly colored arrows telling the people what to do, loud music, and a lot of movement from the dancers that seemed to have mastered the game at one point or another.
"Oh... wow." He murmured, taking a couple steps in that direction to take up the position of a spectator, unblinking as the people moved through the dances as the arrows dictated. Kiyoshi was in love... less with the game itself and more with how it resulted in such interesting moves from the people who seemed to be as brightly colored as the arrows were. Dyed hair, lots of piercings, and clothing that his Dad referred to as 'Hot Topic Flavor Goth' whatever that meant...
He gave a grin as one of the guys jumped in a manner that caused him to spin in a complete circle to finish the move correctly, "Neat." He found himself half wanting to try but having never played before the idea of messing up on the game had him hanging back.

Before even the thought of buying tokens passed his mind, Nes began to survey the machines around the arcade. He could occasionally see newer versions of games or new games in general! He looked here and there but with no success. He wandered until he approached to a machine with bright colours. They were almost hypnotic. His golden eyes grew wide as he headed towards the machine. He watched as the teenagers with odder clothes than the ones he wore moved to the rhythm and stepped on the arrows as they flew from the bottom of the screen.
Anthony had always told him to stay away from these people because they can get aggressive and a good pocky boy was not aggressive. It was probably one of the only things that he remembered because of all the gory stories that he was told when he first went to live with Anthony. He wanted to play, even though those people were playing. He turned around quickly and wanted to head towards a token machine but he caught sight of a young boy dressed in white clothes that had long sleeves and fancy ends. He pouted to himself, thinking that this boy looked almost ghastly.
Anthony on the other hand made his way past a sea of kids and rowdy teenagers and plopped himself down at an empty table. He set his umbrella leaning against the side of the table and the orange raincoat slung over the back of the chair. He suspected that the pocky boy couldn't take over 3 hours, so he pulled out an inconspicuous word search book and highlighter from his inside chest pocket and opened it to a half finished puzzle.

Kiyoshi gave a little pout when the game that was going on ended and he found himself freed from the allure of the game. He turned around to return to his search for a game to try out when he found someone looking his way. The milk pocky boy lifted a pale hand to wave at him in a friendly manner. The boy was wearing clothing that made Kiyoshi think of his older sister, she would love that boy and what he was wearing. He was a little glad she wasn't here or she would try to design something like that and put Kiyoshi in it...
He gave a shrug, he just wouldn't tell her he decided before looking back and forth. There were so many games that it was tough to really pick between them and figure out which one he wanted to play... made it tougher when he saw a lot of them were two player games. He wondered if he could get Dad to play... the idea fell apart half way through it.
No, he doubted the man would even consider it, Daddy would have but Dad was no fun at all...

At the polite gesture from the other boy, Nes decided to squirm through the crowd and greet this ghostly looking boy vocally. He didn't want to seem mean and just ignore the wave. So he set off on his miniature journey towards the other boy. He pushed and shoved with a few "excuse me"s and "sorry"s along the way before making it to the white clothed boy. He motioned a darker skinned hand out and touched the other boy lightly on the shoulder.
"Hello!" He said eccentrically. "Who might you be?" He said with a smile and a c**k of his head. He removed his hands from this boy's shoulder and placed them behind his back. From up close, this boy looked quite... fun. Nes just wanted some company and someone he could play with in the crowded area. Other people had friends or crowds and Anthony did not approve of crowds of friends that could influence him to do bad things! "Do you wanna play something?" He asked without even waiting for a reply on his previous question.
Nes planted a large smile on his face as he had just met his first friend. Or so he thinks. He didn't know if people were going to be hostile or nice. But all first impressions to Nes, were good ones.

Kiyoshi was lost in his racing thoughts and due to the flashing lights and sounds around him he hadn't even realized the other boy was approaching him until the hand touched his shoulder causing him to give a little jolt. He turned around to see who was standing there, "Hello." He greeted him, giving a smile when he realized it was the boy with the interesting clothing, "Me? My name is Kiyoshi."
He gave a nod of his head at the invitation and nodded, "Sure, I'd love too."

"M'name's Nes! Kiyoshi. Got it!" He said with a smile. "Then what're we waiting for? Let's go!" Nes said with a small jump and a clap. He wanted to play the dancing game first but he needed to purchase some tokens if he wanted to play any games. He smiled back at Kiyoshi and said nervously, "Would you mind waiting for me for a few? I have to get some tokens." He ruffled his own hair with a hand nervously and gave a reassuring expression.
"I'll only be a few!" He said again before dashing off without even waiting for a reply again. He had the tendency to just blast off without letting everyone put in their two cents. He walked over to a token machine and pulled a crisp bill out of his pocket. He tiptoed and slid it into the slot carefully, listening to the whirring of the machine, and then the clanging of game tokens into the hole in the machine. He reached a small hand into the hole, picked them all up and then slid them into his pocket. He felt around in case there were any strays, then decided to head back.
Only problem was... which way was 'back'?

Kiyoshi blinked a couple times, a bit stunned as Nes introduced himself and then was hurrying off to find the tokens so that they could play together. He tilted his head to the side before giving a soft giggle that he hid behind his hand, "Wow... hes excitable." He murmured.
He moved out of the way of the people that were moving back and forth and leaned against the side of one of the machines that wasn't being used at the moment and waited for Nes to return. After a while later he felt a bit unsure of himself, had Nes changed his mind? Maybe found someone else to play with? Maybe he got lost? The white haired boy tilted his head to the side then pushed away from the machine, "Wonder... if I should look for him." He murmured in a thoughtful manner.

Nes didn't really like being lost and shoved here and there at the moment. But he was strong. Boys didn't cry and he stood by that motto like the hair on his head. He took a deep breath and headed to where he thought 'back' was. His eerie golden eyes stayed shut as tight as he could, as he walked in a random direction, still with his manners; a few 'excuse me's and 'sorry's. The warmth of people rubbing against people made him feel uncomfortable. He wasn't one for enclosed spaces and you could even say he had a slight case of claustrophobia. He sucked it up and tried to be a man.
He walked on with arms in front of him and tried to follow where the music of the dance machine was. He could vaguely remember it but it was harder thn he thought to try pinpoint where something was when he was only there for a little while. It felt like forever but it was more like a minute, before Nes walked into someone. "I'm sorry." He said as he slowly and cautiously opened his eyes, hoping it was Kiyoshi or Papa and not someone he didn't know...

Kiyoshi had started toward where his new friend had gone to try to find him, pausing here and there struggling to see passed the crowd as there were a lot of people that seemed to be a lot taller then he was... he blinked a couple times, sighing softly as he got pushed back by some people far to into the fighting game they were playing.
A soft squeak escaped him and he flapped his arms to keep on his feet and ended up backing into someone. He blushed as he looked over his shoulder and found that he was being apologized to, "I'm sorry too." He murmured before giving a happy sound and turned around, "Ah, lucky." It was Nes that he'd backed into... so while he felt bad for it he felt happy over finding him at the same time.

At the sound of the voice, Nes recognized it right away. It was the same voice as he had heard before from the ghostly looking boy who said he was named 'Kiyoshi'. He blinked a few times to get used to the lighting again and saw the white figure before him. He patted his chest a few times and sighed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness it's only you." He said as his sigh changed into a delightful laugh.
"I got the tokens, what shall we play first?" He asked the other boy. It was only common courtesy to ask in case Nes voiced his opinion and his companion only agreed because he was polite. Nes would be happy with anything as long as he had someone to keep him company. "And..." He paused with uncertainty, "Could you lead us there too?" He asked nervously. He didn't know the way back to the other games and away from the violent fighting games. But at least he was honest with himself rather than being stubborn and getting them even more lost.

Kiyoshi nodded, lifting up on his tip toes to try to get a feel for where in the arcade they were and where some games were that they could play that weren't as violent as the ones that were being played around them. While Kiyoshi might want to try them he didn't want to play with the really big teens who got far to much into the games.
"I'd... almost like to try that dancing game." He said to Nes, if his friend had never played it before the two of them could look bad playing together he thought with a smile.

Nes looked curiously as the boy tip-toed and tried to do, what had looked to him, was peer over heads. He just watched on quietly and gave Kiyoshi a moment to think. He didn't want to seem pushy or too demanding of his companion. He stood up on his toes for a split-second, but was too short to peer over the moving heads that resembled a mosh-pit. He gave a small pout to himself as he looked back over to see what Kiyoshi had to say about his opinion.
"The dancing game sounds PERFECT!" He said eccentrically with a small jump, but hitting a few people around him, so he decided it was a bad idea. "I really want to try it out as well!" He added with a soft giggle-chuckle hybrid type laugh. "Lead the way?" He asked giving a small bow and gesture for Kiyoshi to lead.

Kiyoshi smiled when Nes agreed to his suggestion, it would make the game a lot funner for the both of them if they tried it out together. At least they wouldn't be forced to dance against someone who had already mastered the game. He reached out to take Nes's hand in his so he could lead the way through the crowd and not lose his new friend.
"I think that its back this way, we might need to wait in line though it seems like a popular game." He said, when they arrived there were more of the people on the game and he led his friend over to get into the line so they would be able to get a chance at it.
"Thank you." Kiyoshi murmured, "For playing with me. Its more fun to play with others."
