"Asgard is one of the oldest known Branches known and is found at the 'Crown' of the Yggdrasil Tree. This means that Asgard is very powerful in the end. Not many other places are stronger or can even come close to it. This also means that Asgard loves to throw its weight around, practicing aggressive policy making and has seeded thousands of Branches with the 'Nordic Myth Cycle.'

Here's their first lie: The Nordic Myth Cycle never happened. It is all propaganda. That entire Myth Cycle is designed to get the young strapping men and women of whatever Branch they happen to inhabit fired up and to train themselves, basically turning their entire life into a disguised boot camp. When they get killed, a Valkyrie takes a note of how good they are and picks the best of the best. It is an 'Honor' to be chosen by a Valkyrie.

The second lie: Every Warrior who dies an honorable and glorious death gets into Valhalla. Nope. Bullshit. Not true. If a Valkyrie decides you're good enough, you get to go. Just because you died in a spectacular fashion that will be sung about through the ages, doesn't mean you get in.

The third lie: Valhalla is a heaven where you get to fight all day for fun, and then drink, feast, and whore all night in preparation for the next day of slaughtering and training. No, no, no, no. Valhalla is merely a holding tank where other members of the Aesir pick through the masses of harvested troops, picking out the best fighting styles, tactics and strategies to copy it over to every other Einherjar. Oh, the Einherjar get to 'experience' this but its one massive hallucination that they have no reason to disbelieve.

The fourth lie: Valkyries are Odin's daughters. Nope. While certainly beautiful, they are not his daughters. More like... Officers to lead units of Einherjar to do whatever the hell the Aesir want on YOUR home branch. Moreover, the Einherjar are preconditioned to follow a Valkyrie or higher Aesir's orders to the letter and spirit, so no trying to figure out what they'll do based on what you heard.

The fifth lie: Valkyries are immortal, and by extension, the rest of the Aesir. You can kill a Valkyrie, its been done before sure but that doesn't mean they stay dead. They'll probably get really pissed off and come after you, with a whole platoon of Einherjar. You'll probably die but what can I say?

So those are the lies of Valhalla. Pretty shitty, isn't it? You were offered riches, glory and pleasures beyond belief but if you get right down to it? They do not exist. And the worst part of it is? They aren't preparing for Ragnarok... They're doing this just because they can."

The two Branches of Valhalla and Asgard are linked together, having grown through eachother yet managing to remain separate entities.

Valhalla is the smaller of the two and is used as a staging ground for the Aesir, with millions of Einherjar in trancelike states in individual holding tanks, ready to be called to war by the Aesir. Here it is also where Odin presides, with the other Aesir.

Asgard is the original home dimension of the Aesir, and is a beautiful place where civilization and nature are one being. Everything in Asgard seems to be too brightly colored or just slightly off.

This is due to the rampant technology that is seemingly magic along with its own magic. Because of this, there is no need or want in Asgard. It is a heaven and utopia for all of those who come.

Provided you obey Odin and the Aesir.
