So I would assume many of you have at least heard of the Agatsuma Pikmin figures which were sold as a Japanese "candy toy". These came with a few Pikmin, some candy, and an occasional enemy.
Now, the price has skyrocketed to over $300 for a handful of Pikmin.
This thread is for those of you who want real, plastic Pikmin toys for a lesser cost.
First of all, you might want "offical" ones based off the real toys. If you don't have any and don't have a deep wallet, buy some modeling clay, and make a perfect model that is suitable for mold casting.
Next, create a two-part silicon mold. For simplicity and ease-of-use, try TAP Plastic's Silicone RTV Mold-Making System. It's quick and efficient, but requires good measurement. Also, try using the "bombs away" pouring method to get rid of bubbles. Look for some TAP Plastic videos on Youtube.
Note that the mold will pick up any detail on the surface of the Pikmin model, including scratches and fingerprints.
Once the mold is made, next get some plastic resin. You'll need some good resin that requires no heat to cure. Not too hard to find. Also, find some pigment to put into it. This is the part that stumped me, really, which is why I haven't actually finished making any of these. Mix as appropriate, then pour and let set.
Congratulations, you have created a Pikmin toy. Now, make a better mold that has 15 or so Pikmin in a row, pour them all at once, and you can start an army.

They'll likely be based on my game series. Also, I hope to create miniatures for tabletop gaming that are actually articulated like Megablock characters. They'll probably be compatible with Lego and Megablocks too.
