His sapphire gaze stared at the little bug. It was just sitting there, flittering his wings and mocking the little cubbin. The bug seemed to know that he wanted to catch it. He was hungry, and wanted to munch on it.
"Imma catch you.."
He said as he stalked closer, the tall grasses crushing under his body. He was trying to hone his hunting skills..He had very little skill, but he was a quick little cub. He caught things based on luck, and it wasnt ever really his skill.
He stalked closer.
Closer.
Closer.
Then he lunged. The bug flittered away seconds before he landed, and was gone.
He looked into his paws, that had cupped over the bug, and sighed.
Missed again.

Fususi padded happily along, her sweet little voice rising up to charm even the bird, though all they did was swoop lowish and whistle back, causing her to pause and giggle before continuing on her way. She wasn't normally the type to leave her family's side on a regular basis, but the little princess liked to go exploring every so often. She liked to pretend that she was a secret fairy-tale princess of some huge pride and was disguised as a peasant so that she could go out and mingle. If she knew what mingle meant.
She kept singing, though it was mostly one "la" after another, pausing to watch a bug fly by.
"Hi little buggy," she called happily, smiling up at it.

He looked over to the voice, hearing it talk about the 'buggy.'
So the bug went that way?
He dashed with a bright smile on his maw.
"Did you see the bug?"
He asked, looking at the little white cheetah. She had pretty colors. He liked the color white, but her markings were neat.
"I was trying to catch it and it got away."
He pouted slightly, but then brightened up.
"But if you saw it, Maybe we can find it!"

Fu stopped in her tracks and blinked, staring at the lion cub. She'd never met a lion before so this was, and interesting experience.
"Why would you want to catch the bug?" she asked, tilting her head and frowning at him a bit. That seemed like a strange thing to do. Another thought crossed her mind to ask what exactly he was because she honestly wasn't sure but... Well, that was rude! And ladies weren't rude, or at least they weren't supposed to.
So for the moment, she just... kinda... stared at him, her brow furrowed and lips pursed a bit in thought or confusion... or a bit of both.

He cocked his head at her.
"You dont eat bugs?"He asked, looking confused. He had always been the one to eat bugs. He supposed not everyone would eat bugs, but the last cheetah girl he had met had loved them.
"I know not only lions eat bugs, Ive met a cheetah who did."
He said with a nod, his little white fluff on the top of his head bouncing with the nod.
"So whats your name? Im called Chincha'Jibari. But I like the name Chincha."

"Ewwww, you eat bugs?" Fu asked, making a kinda disgusted face at the thought, sticking her tongue out a bit. It sounded like he was a lion, from what he said. How interesting!
"So... you're a lion, then? Oh!" she replied and dipped down in something of a cross between a bow and a curtsy.
"My name's Fususi, but I guess you can call me Fu, if you want to. My siblings sometime call me that."

He let out a little grin.
"Acourse Imma lion, what else would I be?"
He asked. He hadnt known that there were some that did not know lions. He had assumed that all animals knew of the lion.
But then again, she was young. It was quite possible she didnt know what they were..What he was.
"Well its a pleasure to meet you Fu."
He said with a smile, his blue eyes focusing a bit.
Well he supposed the bug was long gone now.. Lost all over again.
"I eat bugs, yeah. Theyre good! 'Specially caterpillars."
He nodded. He was a true boy.

Fu frowned a bit, reigning in her temper. Princesses did not growl or anything like that, and she was of the mind that though she wasn't born one, she was definitely of the right caliber to be a princess. Whatever that word meant, anyways.
"I donno, maybe a scrawny leopard. How am I supposed to know what you are? It's not like I've ever met a lion before," she said in the most haughty manner she could dredge up. They may not lose their temper, but she was certain princesses could be haughty.
And then he went on about bugs and she was sure she looked as grossed out as she felt. How could anyone bring themselves to eat a bug?
"That's just gross. Bugs aren't meant for big cats to eat."

His ears went back when she seemed cross with him, and he shrunk back a little, instantly feeling bad.
How would he know she hadnt met any lions before? But he still felt bad.
"Well..Im not Im a lion." He said, voice staying soft, so she wouldnt think he was being mean.
"Sometimes bugs are all you can get.. So I think theyre good..But I was raised to."
He said with a smile, and nod.

Fu made a face between contrite over snapping at him and slightly defensive.
"I don't like others knowing when I don't know things," she mumbled out the reply as she plopped down with a small huff. She decided to end the bug conversation there, not really knowing how to respond to that, anyways. She glanced away, her expression something of a pout, trying to find something else to say and failing miserably. But she wasn't going to tell him she was having trouble. No sir!

He may have been a playful sort, but he could see something that was playing in her mind. He cocked his head, walking closer but staying far enough away.
She hadn't yet said she didn't intend on attacking him, and he was going to be in running distance.
"So.. Is everything..Okay?"
He asked, though he was never really good with talking with others about their issues. He just..didnt seem to have the soft side that cared.. He was a sweetheart, but he had so many issues of his own, he felt it hard to care for others issues.
But this little female made him curious, and he cocked his head once more.
"Im here to listen ya know."
