I love musicals, but I'm a fan of the older ones for the most part, like The Music Man and My Fair Lady. I do love Wicked and Phantom of the Opera, too.

Good choices, good choices. I like Wicked, though the fangirls are a bit aggressive. ;;o 3o

I love musicals! I have preformed in quite a lot of them, great Idea Berg!
THis May I will be performing in Willy Wonka, last may I was in My Fair Lady, before that I was in Fiddler on the Roof, and further back I was in both Cinderella, Wizard of Oz, and Bye Bye Birdie, as well as two mellow dramas.
My favorite of them had to have been My fair Lady, mainly due to the part that we had to speak in a british accent, and I got to be a cockney, and a rich brit! :3
However, I am looking forward greatly to perform in Willy Wonka, and have been singing 'Candy man' and 'Pure Imagination' since. XD

Oh goodness~ Musicals are the best. <3 I took a musical lit class just last semester actually. Despite living so close to the city, I've only seen Wicked on Broadway. :c But it was amazing of course, hehe~ And when I was in London I saw My One and Only. I'm hoping to get tickets to see the revival of Hair in a few months! It's one of my favorites. x3 I also love Sweeney Todd, RENT, Cats, Hairspray, West Side Story... loads. I never got to see Spring Awakening. D; But I have a friend who's obsessed with it, hehe. I adore the Little Mermaid, but from what I've seen, I don't think I'd like the Broadway version. :C Has anyone heard word of the HP musical? They announced it a while back and I haven't heard anything else about it. >_> I hope they decided against it. [/outburst of enthusiasm]

Yaay, people responded! [/wasn't sure whether this would want to] Hair is amazing, too! Jonathan Groff was in that too, lol.
The thing is, with Wicked, I really find Fiyero to be a huuuuge douchebag, especially like in 'Dancing Through Life,' hehe. o^o
Also! Lea Michele and Michael Morrison are going to be in a new show on Fox called Glee, did anyone see that commercial? It looks hilariously awesome; I've heard that Kristen Chenoweth and someone from In The Heights are also going to be in it....
On a note somewhat related to the HP musical, has anyone seen this? It's quite funny, as are all the Gypsy Of The Year skits, especially one in 2oo7 from the 'Spelling Bee' cast, who filked "b***h of Living" from Spring Awakening. It was hilarious, all of these are. XD
You guys have good taste! ( Though who am I to judge, I'm only thirteen, haha. )

I'm sickly obsessed with Hair. Gotta love hippies. ;D I agree with you about Fiyero. But he redeems himself in the end. Have you read the book? I haven't heard of Glee. But oh my gosh, Kristen Chenoweth. XD o.o That video was fun. XD I saw Equus in a few months ago and it was fabulous. Very powerful. Haha, you have good taste! I woudn't have guessed you to be so young. c:

XD Hair, is, fabulous. <3 I've read the first hundred pages or so, I'd never gotten around to finishing it. It's on my to-do list. >.> Glee is coming out in May, so keep a lookout! My mum says one of the girls on American Idol this season reminds her of Kristen Chenoweth. Hmmm. O: I love those videos! this one is equally great, to me. XD They're all so silly and so fun. I wish I lived on the East Coast, though we Westsiiiiders are well off too. Better than, say, Oklahoma or someplace backwoods. CX [/no offence intended to people who live in Oklahoma] Haha, thanks! ^3^

Grr, I wish I lived on either coast! XD The closest theater that actually plays good musicals (Spare Lansing, but the best thing they played was Wicked and tickets sold out in less than an hour.) is in Chicago, which is more than 200 miles away. XD However, I did get to see The Wizard of Oz at the Fox theater. To bad I was only about seven so I wasn't able to appreciate the beautiful building, and I remember being sick at the time, but at least I got to go back to see the Radio City Rockettes there. --
I have yet to see Hair, I've seen Hairspray, but I doubt that that they are similar. XD I haven't seen wicked either, but I really, really want to. I sang some of the songs for one of my auditions, my favorite was Emerald City. :3
However, I could sing "Masquerade" over and over and over again. (Phantom of the Opera.) Best thing ever. <3

Wicked is a popular one, I must say. No reference intended. XD For once. :3 I'm a fan of No Good Deed, actually.
I'm actually the worst theatre fan ever- I'm seeing my first live show on Saturday. >.> However, it's possibly one of the best to start with the live-ness: I'm seeing RENT! The Broadway tour with Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp. So excited! Though stage-dooring's going to be a b***h. Just saying. XD
You guise are awesome, teehee. ^3^

Wendla; Aw. xD To-do lists never really work out for me, heh. I'll keep a watch for Glee! I haven't been following American Idol much. Is it going well? Oh gosh that video. xD Poor guys~ I could never not live on the coast. I'll probably stay in New York the rest of my life. Unless, you know, London is calling. ;D Japan too for that matter.
xD For Wicked, Popular is my favorite song to see performed. But No Good Deed is my favorite song in general. Oh I'm so jealous! I wanted to see RENT. It's so expensive to get decent seats though. And commute to the city. D; A college students bank account is not a fan of the theatre.
Ruruka; Hair and Hairspray are far from similar. Both very good though. I believe the song from Wicked you mean is 'One Short Day'.

OH! Yes, thank you Fiend, I knew it was something like that.. 'One short day, in the Emerald City! One short day, full of so much to do!" That is all I remember from my audition. How sad.. (I know it repeats though..) D: -- Well Wendla, I am a far worse theater fan. I have not seen rent, Wicked, Hair, or even Guys and Dolls. D: However, I must say, I absolutely loved 'The Producers." "Keep it Gay keep it Gay keep it gay!" I still laugh at that. And the movie had Will Ferrel in it! <3

Oh, Miss Ruruka, how can you be worse, when RENT this Saturday is my FIRST EVER live show?! You can't top me, haha. XD
The "Keep it gay keep it gay keep it gay" bit reminded me some of Avenue Q, which is equally awesome. XD The Producers is awesome, too, though.
Meehh. Miss Fiendfyre, Idol is the same as ever, pretty bad but it has its moments; though, connecting that to this thread is easy. One of the forerunners, Adam Lambert, was Fiyero in Wicked somewhere. It was professional, though. He still has his theatre voice, hee. ^^
But all Idol fans who overlap into Broadway fans are squeefully waiting for Glee. XD

Well, my first was Qizard of Oz, and I barely remember it. Other than that....Well, I think that and the rockettes are the only ones. I have yet to see Avenue Q, but I have herd a lot of good things about it. It was playing not to far from where I was, but it was only showing on days we were performing. (My Fair Lady at the time.)
I stop watching American Idol after the Auditions. I love watching the awful people, though, I remember the guy who was in Wicked, and I like him.
