Drifting high in the sky, gliding slowly with the strange currents of the wind, Larias flipped her cloak inside out, with the dark blue on the outside, and the emerald green tucked within. Approaching toward that familiar, tingling sensation she had missed since the world fell apart, Larias began a slow descent. With dusk having come and gone, it left her rather difficult to spot, save for her crown of pale yellow hair, pulled back and out of the way.
It always paid to be wary when approaching another land, especially when they were unknown to her, so many of her brethren in height having tormented elves everywhere. A pause high above, a moment to steal herself against the worst, and she drifted down towards the beach, sending, ** Hello? Is anyone around? ** Contained within that simple dual question, sadness, longing and even hope. Loneliness has been wearing on her again.

Dancer walked along the beach that eve waiting. She often called to her beloved Fishy and would chat with him while he was under the waves. She waited for him to answer her call but he might have been off looking for others, looking for things that were useful to his kind or just off exploring. She sighed deeply and snuggled up to Fire Bright. The large striped cat nuzzled her back then pulled away. Just as she was about to say something to him a send touched her mind. The cat elf's mouth hung open a moment before she responded. *Hello hello! Where are you? Please you are safe on this beach.* Excitement flooded the send and joy beyond joy.

Savith had been flying over the waterfall, about to head over the forests for one last flight to tire himself out enough to fall asleep, when Larias's open send washed over his mind. The feel of it pulled him to stop, mouth falling open slightly as his heart began to race. For a moment, he was ready to convince himself he was imagining it, he really was, but he turned to face the direction of her send and Flew.

With the approach of another, Larias drifted still closer to the ground. All of a few inches off the sand; she waited, spying through the darkness to spot the origin of the send. ** I am here, by the edge of the Vast Deep. ** A look around, and really what else could she say. ** Perhaps, follow my sending to me? I can’t see you in the darkness. ** Still, the wariness pervaded, this one had not seen her yet, and her hand went to her hip, where the whip was looped at her side. It was touched, for assurance, but not brought out, hidden under the cloak.

*I will find you shortly then.* A slight bit of laughter before Dancers warning. *I am with my bond. He is a large striped claw but he will not hurt you so long as you are no threat to me.* That part of her send very serious. She knew how frightened EVERYONE seemed to be except Llune who liked brushing the overgrown kitten. It didn't take Dancer long to find the new elfess. As she rode up slowly on her tiger. *My eyes behold with great joy! I am sure everyone will be so happy to see another survivor. Do you know there are even elves in the vast deep? We have so many and......* She giggled a bit aand stopped herself from rambling on. "I am Dancer." She slipped off the cat with a smile as she moved closer.

'Follow my Sending,' Larias had sent, and Follow Savith did. Well-train Chosen, for as he arrives, he slows himself, pulling himself up short to see. In the darkness of the early night, the tall glideress was a sight to behold. he hovered for a heartbeat of an eternity, whatever chilly disposition he had defending the lost little glider-boy he felt was flung away like a heavy winter cloak in midsummer. His face brightened into a real smile as his mind opened. **Beloved,** was all he managed before he sought to close the distance between himself and Larias. All others, cat and elf alike, were (for the moment) ignored. The word carried a depth and warmth of feeling best described as soulful relief. In it was the echo of once more being whole, of once more knowing sleep would be peaceful, of once more being past thinking to breathe. The moons may be shattered in the heavens above, but in this moment, he no longer was.

With the smaller elfess' approach, Larias landed fully on the ground, settling into the sand awkwardly at first. Her posture relaxed at the exuberance4 in the demeanor of the other; the hand on the whip at her hip dropping to her side. ** I am no threat to you. ** The send was offered almost like an echo, and yet a promise at the same time. She blinked, surprised and stunned, ** More survivors? How many? Who? ** She nodded then, “Ah, sorry.. umm, yes I know there are elves who live in the Vast Deep.”
It was then that something caught her attention in the background. Eyes on the form as it approached, how could they not, magic, it’s what brought her to this spot to begin with, the tingle of its use unmistakable. The approach, giving way at last to vision, and she stopped cold, no motion, no breath until the stunned question, ** Savith?!?! You’re alive?? ** Like no really, he’s dead and she’s just seeing a ghost, maybe she’s at the Palace now and just confused. ** How?? I felt you go down… hard… And … the Mountain, you… I … ** Stumbling over the thoughts she gives up trying to find cohesion in them, instead taking a moment to snag the other elf into a tremendous hug and neck nuzzle.

Dancer was about to go give the new elf a great big hug when Saviths send fluttered in. (Beloved?) Dancer looked in his direction then back to the other. "Oh my." She giggled softly and just remained silent with Fire Bright for a moment watching.

Savith wraps his arms fully about Larias as she all but plucks him from the air, hands greedily seeming to be trying to crush her to him. Her questions were dizzying in the most wonderful of ways. Eyes slipping shut, Savith is all smiles, shoulders relaxed in a manner they had not been in nearly a turn of the seasons. **I did,** his mind replied, unabashedly honest. There was a touch of embarassment at being so quickly felled. **There was an... explosion? A rush of wind. Didn't wake for days. But High Ones! Mountain be damned, you're alive and well and...** His mind pauses, frame tensing just slightly as he opens his eyes and pulls back just enough to look around. **...where are...?** His mind drifts off, smile fading. **Where are they? Rosendo? Acadia?** He turns his gaze back to Larias, eyes slightly wide.

The question causes Larias to look away. She whispers quietly, "I felt them or rather Rosendo, he was with Acadia when it happened." She doesn't say anything else, is there really anything else to say. Given that all the warmth of the greeting falls at the question, her whole demeanor shifting and changing to sullen, sad, and a strong feeling of loss all about her.

The color seems to drain from Savith's face, a look of distraught loss of hope etched on his features. His powers cut out as his mind seems too numb to focus on keeping himself aloft and he drops to the sand like a rock. Knees buckle and he sinks against his Recognized, the world pulling him down her frame and to the sand. His hands slid down her as he went, leaving him with arms wrapped about her knees, forehead to her lower thighs. One silent shudder quivers through his frame and across his shoulders.

"Savith, dearest, the chances of anyone surviving what happened there... Even She is gone towards the Palace now... I hope she stays there," Larias' words are softly spoken. "It was quick, and he felt little pain before he slipped away. Take comfort in that if you can." Long fingers brushed the other glider's hair, stroking the back of his head gently. She'd had time, felt the passing, grief has happened for her already.

Dancer's happy face fades swiftly seeing Savith broken. She feels like an intruder now. Tears slip down her cheeks. Her mind timidly embraces the two parents and it is full of sorrow at their loss. He knows if their is anything he needs he can ask her. Then she turns away to leave them alone for the time being.

When she feels the touch of another around her hips, Larias looks down and to the side, spying the cat elf. She smiles sadly, and places one hand on her head, giving that same sort of soothing gesture, albeit, less constant. She locksends to the other elfess, ** You do not have to go. He will need others around him, even if he does not wish to admit it. Especially those with high tolerance. **

Dancer's gentle brush against the raw edges of his grief-stricken mind coupled with Larias's soft request to take comfort in the fact that his only son felt little pain at his passing served only to completely crumble the dam that was trying, but failing miserably at, holding his emotions at bay. Too long had he been trying to keep everything together. Too long had he ignore the desire to curl up into a ball and not move for a few weeks. So curl he does, against his mate's lower body, as the first of what be many sobs wrack his frame.
