First off I'd just like to say that I am a red player or at least that's what I found I am best at building and playing.
So for me, I go for anything that will burn those I play against and cheep creatures that will do lots of damage by uping there power. Such as Slith Firewalker, that came in the Chandra theme deck that came in the Jace Vs. Chandra Duel Deck. That happens to be my favorite theme deck, because it centers around how I like to make my own decks. Anyway, Slith Firewalker casts for 2 mountain, has Haste and henever Slith Firewalker deals combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on it. Then there's cards like Pyre Charger, casts for 2 mountains, has Haste and for one mountain Pyre Charger gets +1/+0 until end of turn.
As for enchantments, instants, and sorceries I like to go for cards like Blaze, casts for 1 moutian and X, Blaze deals X damage to target creature or player. In a solid red deck this works wonders, just ask DA-FDNT biggrin He's not to happy with my "burn decks"
I'm actually going to be taking apart my Chandra deck to make a better one. I'm planning on adding my Blaze cards and if I can get another Chandra deck there's some cards I'd add to it so I'll have 4 of most cards in it. That's another I always try and have player sets of all cards I have in my decks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The idea was to make the two Mighty Emergence's I acquired useful. I went for the 5+ theme and made it run off of +1/+1 counter build up. Paragon is basically there to enforce the counter thing with it's second ability, although I am using a few warriors to make it's first one useful too. I'm really wanting to run a Naturalize variant, but I'm having trouble finding room, since the build currently stands up okay( until I'm mana flooded for the first 5 draws, and never pull a spell... long story sweatdrop ) I could SB it if I decide to go to FNM with this, but when playing casual, it'd be nice since I tend to have trouble if the right enchantment is staring me down.

What format is that second deck intended for? If it's not trying to be extended legal there's a pair of odyssey cards that could work really nicely.
Or might work, at least, depending on what exactly you want the deck to do. Right now you're creature heavy with something of a curve and your spell suite is agressive rather than controlling but your average cost is a bit higher than is ideal for a fast agressive deck.
So is a quick attack with lots of creatures what you're aiming for?

Okay, so I was thinking of building a Swan deck for FNM. Here's my list so far. I've asked my friends and they say it has some bad match ups but based on the people at our FNM it might do fine. I personally don't know how reliable its gonna be. So I'll post it here, any advice would be nice. Thank you.

Okay, I don't know much but this is what I saw.
Anvil of Bogardan cancels out Cursed Rack. I think you should choose one or the other.
You don't have much control, even the stuff that makes your opponent discard lets them draw back up to 7. If they are doing any aggro you might go down fast. Though this might be fixed with Bloodhall Ooze.
That's about all I can see. Can't offer much replacements though. Maybe some pure discard cards.
