So I have a bit of a...well...I guess obsession, with standard earrings that fit in my two sets of lobe holes. To the extent that I have, at last count, about one pair for every day of the year. That's right - about 360-370 pairs of earrings. (Almost) all different, too. (They're pretty and inexpensive and they're easy to change in and out)
Now, I imagine that this will carry over to my helixes (at the moment I have my spiral in both holes, but I plan on getting a collection of studs in 14g, and probably also some CBR's so I can mix n match) and will eventually cause me to pierce the left helix once, and heal it up, so that I can wear lots more sparkly stuff in my ears.
What struck me, was that Annie (my piercer) mentioned that most people who had body jewelry generally just left the starter stuff in there. But...why? It struck me as odd, because while the silver is undeniably cool, there's a whole heap of other cool stuff available everywhere, too.
So what jewelry do you have for piercings? Do you just stick with the simple stuff, or do you have a collection? How often do you swap things around? Is it just a girl thing, wanting to have way too much jewelry? ( xd )

Well i barely can keep up with ear rings for my 6 lobe piercings XD
And in my labret, septum, nostril, tragus and navel i have all the original jewelry XD

Once I got my ears up as far as I wanted to go (6 Ga) I got these little tunnels and yes they are sparkly, lol.  sorry for bad image redface

I wish I did.. I don't even have jewlery to go with all the tapers i have.
I've got a set of CBRs and Horeshoes from in every size from 14-8
i've got a multicolored set of curved barbels for my eyebrows
i've got several 14ga barbels and quite a few extra balls

Geez, 360 earrings? I don't even wear all of the ones I have, which is about 25-30.
The starter jewelry is nice, but it gets boring. I always get excited when I finally get to change it out after months of waiting.
I finally changed out the starter jewelry from my two helix piercings. I just have horseshoes, but I change the balls a lot. The cool thing is that I can just use all the 14g balls I got for my navel. Yay for economical!
If I can get some cool CBR balls, I'll wear the starters more. Double economical. mrgreen
I wear a lot of different dangling earrings in my first lobe, but unfortunately my sensitive second lobe is restricted to surgical steel. I usually switch between the starter hoops and some spiral hoops.
Sometimes I double up and put two earrings in the same hole. (:
I want to get 6-8 more piercings just so I can wear more sparkly jewelry. mad D
I want to get a double navel just because I have two barbells that would look amazing together. whee
Sparkles just make piercings that much more addicting.

Well...I have 5-6 piercings dependsing on how you look at it [eyebrow, bridge, snakes bites, and both ears]
I keep basic silver in my facial piercing because it presents a really good simple look so I can do crazy earrings clothes makeup and shoes. I actually like the bar given to me for my bridge by the piercer more than any other I've bought so far.
But I do have a ton of earrings so I definitaly understand that.
