Javey wandered on the streets his black pleather pants had holes in the knees. He had just got done pickpocketing a Japanese tourist who never suspected a thing. He had used his mover ability to smoothly lift the wallet from the pocket and into his hand. He hatted having to do it but one had to eat some way, and he hadn't done that in four days. His stomach grumbled complaining that it needed food. He opened the wallet once he was a safe distance away sixty bucks he slid it into his tight pocket then tossed the wallet into a rubbish can.

A woman's yell filled the night; "Get back here! You little street rat!" she had yelled, all would be lucky that was the only sort of damage she could cause with her voice. Marlene was pissed. She had just found this boy, when he was able to slip away with an older boy. She couldn't identify the elder boy, but she did know the younger ones name and power. Edward, Shifter.
~A few blocks away~
Stopping to catch his breath, a young male rests against a large dumpster. He was looking down south, the direction he had ran from. His friend split from him, two targets from two different directions were harder to hunt down, he had said. He rubbed his left arm, were the woman had gripped him. His arm felt as though it were on fire. He gasped, looking towards the north, and falling down further along the wall. He saw an grown up, tossing something into one of the trash bins along the wall. And pocket something else. He attempted to hold his breath, not sure if this was friend or foe, but his ragged breath would give him away if the person went south out of the alley way.

Brown eyes turned to look in the young mans direction he had exceptional hearing and the boys breathing was making a lot of noise. He had heard the echoing of a woman's scream moments before his eyes went from hard to soft. The little boy reminded him of his brother he use to sneak to where he lived tell his family moved away suddenly when his brother was just eight, he has been searching for him ever since.
Javey shook his head trying to push out the thought of his brother from his mind. The sound of running footsteps sent him into fast action he had no clue who it was but the urge to protect the boy was strong. He raised his hand and the dumpster started to move without making much of a noise. A light sheen of sweat broke out on his forehead he made the dumpster move to hide the boys form. "Looks like someone found a lot of trouble" he growled his eyes now focused in the darkness to see who was coming in their direction.

he nearly gasped as someone was upon him, nearly covering his gasping mouth with their hand. At least the person didn't smell like trash. Which is what he was pretty much hiding behind now. "Mrmph!" he attempted to protest, though his mouth was covered. He gripped the hand upon his mouth, a nice warm body behind him while he was cradled from the view of others by this grown man.
~south entrance of alleyway~
She sneered, the scar along her left cheek almost looking red at this point. "I'll... find you. And hurt you." she growled, storming down the alley way with out wasting time. She didn't think the boy was stupid enough to hide behind any of the dumpsters. She just kept on going until she as at the north end. She looked left, then right. As she glanced right she saw the older boy that was with Edward. "You! Wait there!" but he fled once he saw her, she cursed under her breath and took off after him.

"Shh you bloody fool don't say a word I'm trying to save you hide." His voice was a low hiss, and he only said it after the one stocking the boy seemed to take off after someone else. He waited a while then dropped his hand "looks like you made mommy mad you should be careful about that." He used his mover power to shift the dumpster away from them. "I would take to the roofs if I where you they are like a maze around here she will never find you."

The thirteen year old looked at the older man as if he had two heads. "I... I can't do that! I..." he blushed a bit, shifting on his feet a bit. "I don't like high places." he said softly, looking up at the grown up under his long dark lashes. "Can't you just... protect me until we find my friend?" he asked, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out a bundle of blank papers, he uses his powers to make them look like a bundle of hundred dollar bills. "I can pay you." he held up the wad of money for the older man to see.
~A long ways away~
She cried out into the night once more. Then called in for a ride. "No! The little bastards! They got away from me. What?! No, I refuse!" she growled into her cell phone. "No! Let me return to base, regroup and head back out in the morning. Don't you know how late it is? Its friggin' cold out here!" she yelled into the phone, nodding as she was given permission to return. "Yeah! Marlene out." she hung up just as the car arrived. "Little street rats." she growled, her German accent really pronounced at the moment.

Javey hissed and looked at the wad of money he takes a few bills he hadnt noticed the changing of paper into money. "Okay but we do things my way." He bent down and brought his hand over a man hole cover it started to shift and move once it was off the hole he grabbed the young boys shoulder and pushed him to the hole. "Grip the ladder and go down it will be safe down there and don't worry about hearing your friend my ears are like a bats."

The car that picked up Marlene barreled by the alley just as both made it safely into the sewers. Edward wanted to complain, the smell of rotting water was not a pleasant scent. He took his hat that he kept in his back pocket and shifted it into a face mask. Something to dull the scent of the sewers.

Javey didn't even notice the smell he made his home down here. He started to walk listening for any sound from up above that might be this boys friend. He shoved the money in his pocket with the rest he had stole from the wallet. He ignored Edward as he moved his mind already somewhere else even though his ears are still focused on sounds from above.

A very attractive young man stood near a deli. Shaking out his spiked up mane, he glanced down one street and sighed. The woman that had attacked his friend had left in a car. He sighed softly, now came the task of finding his friend. "Edward." he said softly, turning down an alley and heading south.
~mean while in the sewers~
Edward shivered, rubbing his arms with his hands. "Its cold down here." he said softly, looking up at the back of the grown man that lead him through the sewers. "Aren't you cold too?" the boy was wearing a tank top, and a pair of khakis, not something he was comfortable with wearing, but something his friend had bought him so he wouldn't look like street rat.

Javey grumbled under his breath and looked to Edward whom was behind him. "Cold I laugh in the face of cold" he laughed almost wildly then stopped and shook his head trying to get himself back under control. "This way I hear someone above in the alley maybe your friend just keep quiet, and we will find out."

Edward was a bit worried when he made that comment. "Um." he didn't say much, just figured the man was having issues with himself at the moment. "Really?" though he perked up when he heard that his friend might be in the alley above them. "Ulrich." he said softly, almost as a whisper.
~in the alley~
Ulrich, the handsome young man with the impressive spiked up mane, was walking back and forth in the alley. He wasn't sure if he should wonder around looking for his friend, or stay put and wait for him to find him, himself. Turning his back upward, his head held between his hands as he let loose a scream that would kill. And it did, a few passing over birds paid the price of flying that late afternoon. "Grahh!"

Javey covered his ears and let loose a long howl much like that of a wounded animal, the scream Ulich let loose was dulled by the layers of asphalt above them. One of his ears was bleeding from the sound he had very sensitive ears. "Up there man hole go!" He yelled in a louder voice then needed because there was now a ringing in his ears. Even though his ears hurt he was able to concentrate enough to make the man hole near Ulrich to open it shot strait up in the air and landed miles away too much power on that one.

All Edward heard was a muffing sound from above them. But, he knew what it was. Ulrich's scream. He dashed to the ladder that lead to the alleyway. He could hear now, Ulrich's gasp as the man hole cover went flying.
~the alleyway~
Ulrich had just paused to take a breath, he was going to let another scream loose, though as he stood with his face facing the sky all he saw was the man hole cover flew over his head. "Ah!" he stumbled back, and looked to his left. There he spotted the soft brown hair of his young friend. "Edward!" he moved over to the entrance to the sewers and helped his friend get to his feet. "I was so worried!" he pulled the young boy into his arms and held him tight.

Javey with cat like grace sprang out of the sewers behind Edward one of his hands still rubbing at his ear that was bleeding. He finally pulled his hand away and licked his fingers clean of the blood. "Hmm never thought I would go deaf while helping someone." He cackled after he spoke his voice echoed around them due to him speaking louder then normal.
