In Season One, we saw an episode with an alternative future with Sylar shapeshifted as President of USA in Nathan's form, Claire working as a waitress under a new identity and America paranoid from the nuclear (power overload) blast that devestated their country so that HR not only gave alias to his daughter but to other people with powers to help get them out of the country - Peter didn't blow up the country with a power overload so this future was averted.
However - Nathan has 'outed' people with powers and so giving the volume it's name for Fugitives.
Now, as I have not seen any episodes I want everyone to give me spoilers as to how this time line is different from the time line glimpsed in Season One (as quoted above). Does Claire, and others need HR's help getting out of the country or are they staying to fight? How does Nathan actually hide his own powers from the government or do they all know but have him on thier side as a sort of informer?
Has anyone else gone into the future from this time line to see how the world ends in this volume?

I'm sorry, I've just realised that I posted this in the wrong forum (I should have gone to Spoilers to ask!) my excuse is I have only gotten 3 hours sleep in the last 24 hours!
