Alright, they didn't have the comic in the movie. So, they made it a separate Animated film on DVD and Blu-ray (My favorite format XD) What do you think of it?

My copy of this arrived yesterday... got to say, very disappointed that there's no 'raw shark' being eaten. I thought that was pretty integral to the story, but maybe that's just me... But that said, liked the addition of the bloody sail. Nice touch! xd

I saw it a week or so ago, and I think it was a fair adaptation. Sure, raw shark was missing (we've been through that, get over it Guru) but what was left was fairly close to perfect. Gerard Butler does a great job as the shipwrecked captain, you really get a sense of his pain and decline from sanity, and it's a small detail but I'm glad they didn't name him; I think the anonymity adds something to the sense of loss he's experiencing, as if his identity is swallowed by his overwhelming grief. The best part of the DVD for me has to be the corny documentary of 'Under the Hood.' Hollis' script was almost to the letter (and at least all the main points were addressed) though I felt that bringing up the question of Laurie's father directly was downplaying the subtlety... kinda ignoring the subtlety altogether actually. xp But it was all made better seeing HJ darting into the mist, it made me laugh. Not much of a review, sorry!

i havent seen it, but I am keeping my eyes peeled.

The reason I heard Moore put in the pirate comic, was because he had been contracted to write 10 issues, but really only had 5. So, to explain Veidts personality flaws, Moore explains it 'pirate style'.
