This thread is all about pick-up ball. Are you good at it? What do you hate about it? What do you love about it? Which player do you compare yourself to, if any?

I'm pretty good at it, but nowhere near great. I compare myself to perhaps a Steve Nash or a Ginobili. My weakest part of the game is lay-ups.
I hate it when people talk smack and obviously they are losing.

I use the same style of shots as AI because i'm kind of short ex. runners, fades, leaners, shot/pass fakes, double clutch, except i pass a lot more than he does, my least favorite part is when there's a ball hog on the team thats not even good, i'm fine with letting someone score alot but only if they can actually score

i'm good at shooting, don't have a lot of range but i will knock down some tough shots. i'm trying to work on lay ups, like trying to hide the ball better so i won't get blocked when taking it up. my handles suck, that's something i can't improve.
i don't mind thrash talking as long as it's not overboard.

I hate it when there are tall people who CAN shoot. It's impossible for someone 6'0 to guard a 6'8 guy who can shoot. I can't guard 6'8. I also hate going up to block someone and getting dunked on but that rarely happens during pick up unless I go to a community center where most of the good players chill at.
I also hate foul calls. Sometimes things just get hectic and there's a scrap.

I have my off and on games. Sometimes I don't handle my part. Other times I cause havoc in the paint. The last game I played was like a year ago (I know that's a long time), I was on fire from the perimeter but I couldn't do anything else. I hate when they make stupid calls and deny others. I like when they trash talk. It gives me a reason to go all out.

my favorite part about streetball is all street, no fouls. with me being the point guard i am, i should like going to the line, but there are times where its just to try to stop me from scoring which i still do most of the time. the only thing that some people do in streetball is take away out of bounds which is really stupid. my least favorite is like many people, ball hogs, especially the ones that suck. even if the person is good, they still should pass the ball

I love pick up games
I play way better in pick up games,practice or just shoot around than i do when playing in front of a crowd. If i could get over that, which is pretty easy, i could be a pretty good player.
I have a friend that's like 6'2 or something and sometimes i have to guard him which sucks because he can shoot from pretty much anywhere
he's like frickin yao ming from bosnia

I wish I was 6'0.. I blocked a 6 footer once, although technically it was from behind, LOL.. I'm 5'5.
Well I'd rather tall people shoot from outside than muscle me down on the inside.

RobertSmith25 Pickup is just a lot of isolation LMAO, false. It depends how you play it. We rarely do isolation plays, team ball is what we do around here.

Im one of those point guards that needs someone to pass it to rather than do point guard moves and score. Not that Im saying I cant score, you should see me from 3pt range, its just easier for me to have someon on my team even if its just one other person.
