We ended up trading Thumper for a ferret. Thumper was rather obnoxious, so I really don't miss him that much. I really need to take some pictures of my new ferrets.

Gussie  Harvey  From left to right, Oh-no, Onyx, Revlon(Echo), Spock, Toetoe, and Smudge.  Bunnies are hard to keep still for a photo op. I took about 50 pictures, and then had to pick through the less blurry ones. And Gussie can be bribed into something approaching good behavior with carrots.

This is Gussie's crew at five weeks old  Here is Mitzi's litter, born on Easter, ironically enough  And Gussie's new litter, born less than a week after Mitzi's  I'm running out of places to put rabbits at this point. sweatdrop

We nearly lost half of Gussie's litter. crying They got out of the nest box, and wiggled out between the bars of the cage trying to get back into it. I'm surprised the cats didn't eat them. We put them in a different cage, but now Gussie barely has room to move around. I need to get a bigger nursery cage for her. xp I was shaking from the adrenaline rush for a good hour afterward. They were scattered all over the room underneath things.

We lost two of Gussie's litter now. They burned up too many calories that day trying to keep warm, and they didn't have the strength to nurse. The nine remaining babies are starting to open their eyes now, so they are almost past the danger point now. Mitzi's litter is already starting to nibble on solids, and they are growing like little weeds. I will try to get some pictures of them soon. White Foot got renamed Toetoe by my sister. She took Toetoe, Revlon, and Smudge. The last rabbit she owned lived to the ripe old age of 16, so they should do just fine. 3nodding We are going to rehome Lightening, since we can't afford his dental bills. He goes to his new home tonight.

I THINK this shows all of Gussie's litter. There might have been one hiding just out of the shot.
This is the new male french lop we got today. He needs a name. 3nodding
This is Gussie and crew's GINORMOUS new cage we traded for. I feel like I ripped the woman off ever so slightly. All she got out of the deal was 70 pounds of chocolate.

omg So cute and they've gotten so big already! I want to play with the lop's ear so badly. As for the lady, 70 lbs of chocolate would make most women very, very happy! xd whee

The lop is now named Leo. We ended up giving Harvey to the people we got Leo from, although I was really hoping we could get their other lop buck as well. Spock got adopted by my niece, and Oh-No got adopted by a student over at the college. I'm thinking of changing Coal's name to Onyx. I still can't tell the males from females on the babies, though, so I might have a problem soon. stressed

Crap, I rearranged my pictures, and now I have to fix all my links. Not that I have some of those rabbits anymore, but still. mad
Edit: fixed, but I'm not sure if I got all the same pictures up. In any case, I need to file pictures before posting them from now on. rolleyes
