Since you guys can't see what we're up to over in the Captain's Quarters, I decided this might be a good way to keep you abreast of our current plans and projects.
Also, please feel free to contact us with suggestions or ideas!

So, since i was given Captain-dom last week (wow, it's only been a week?!) I've been working on several projects.
I cleaned up the main announcements page of all the redundant and dated threads so it's less confusing.
I redesigned the opening page for the guild. (The logo I had designed some time ago)
I had to go through the crew. Members can get away with just coming by once in awhile. For my crew, I really need people who are active, a part of things, and able to put some time into making this great. Being crew does not make you better than any other member, and it doesn't mean you get any special exclusive rights to making ideas and running events. It's a responsibility and a labor of love.
To the crew I have made members, many of you are my friends and I love you dearly. But if you don't have the time, real life *should* take the priority! And that frees you up to join us for fun. There are some crew that unfortunately never PMed me or got in touch. Some of which haven't logged in for ages. I do hope they come back and get back in touch.
So we have 4 new crew members. Two folks who have been around a long time, and two newer members who have been very helpful and enthusiastic. I hired based on people who I knew were on often, were active, and (to my knowledge) didn't have too much other work in their own stores or threads. There were quite a few other people I considered, and I am so glad to have the support and backup of extra people willing and able to help out. But for now, I have enough crew. But as I said before, you are still more than welcome to suggest ideas and take an active part in the guild - whatever your status!
Current projects:
The two-part big project underway is going through the members to see who has abandoned Gaia and/or is no longer interested in the guild. The second part to that is setting up a PM Communication Tree, so that with only a small handful of PMs we can reach the whole guild. I'll be putting up a thread just to give you more details on that this week. So keep an eye out both in here, and in your mailboxes. I expect this to be concluded in about 4 weeks.
Pixelated Envy is planning us a whole neighborhood in Towns! Go take a look in her thread and sign yourself up for a plot!
Full of Mercy and loquitadeindiana are going to be running the Easter 2009 event! I hope you all stop by!
Future projects: This area still subject to consideration and changes
Cleaning up the subforums Just like the main forum, much of it is a bit crowded and redundant. Everything will be moved to the graveyard subforum for now, so if anyone misses anything it can be put back. But later on, those threads may be subject to deletion.
Remaking the "Random Gifting Thread" I was hesitant of this idea at first. It now has 3000 pages and so many memories! But the new page can link to it. The new thread would be made by the GGOAguild mule so that when/if the guild ever changes hands again, the captain will retain the ability to change and control the opening posts as needed. In addition, it will be moved from the charity forums to the community project forum - where I hope we will have less trolls and beggars.

Thought processes: Well... update first! Mistypaw has handed leadership over to me... We're mostly thread based I need to clean up the guild forums I also am thinking of opening a new GGoA thread.... Or, at least, seriously reformatting the one we have now. Need to reactivate some portions of the guild! Like a history of events, and the use of a mascot/mule. Meh, we'll see.
At any rate! Hi there all! ^_^
