All right. Now we need detail for our post-war world. What does it look like? How bad is it? How can survivors continue surviving? What caused it? What effect does certain things have on the survivors?
[continues off of the War background] Not only do enemy soldiers die, not only do innocent civilians die, but plants die, animals die, ally soldiers die, and the oceans and skies are polluted.
For a couple years, it was enough to wear gas masks and protective gear, but it wasn't enough to keep the masses alive.
So as World War III wears itself out, only a handful of people are left. The only reason of this is because the radiation hadn't been able to kill them, they were either immune or simply mutated by it, as is the case with the animal kingdom.
Now, World War III continues on with scraps between individuals for a drink of water or a piece of meat, a soft bed or a mate.

Only the most remote areas and areas of the least technological threats remain unchanged by the atomic bombs but everywhere else is barren landscape and ruins. The damage done by the bombs almost caused another mass extinction to all animals in the war zone. The rest I got nothing xD

Oooh, ooh! And since this is in the future, we can have some of the destruction caused by chemical bombs as well. And then perhaps some types of animals have reactions to it and mutate, for better or worse. >33
*imagines animals to the likes of the the dogs and humans affected by the cancer deal in "I Am Legend."*
Mwhahaha. >33 Sweet.

And in some areas the ground and most of the water suppy have been affected by the acid creating little mini wars for the water supply (like in Tsubasa)
What if there is a city under the ocean that still has no clue that we've pretty much wiped each other out?

I agree. I see an Artemis Fowl-City of Ember type of thing. It'd be so fun to design such a haven. >3

The "Artemis Fowl" books? And the book "City of Ember"? Never heard of them? They're easy reads.
But in "Artemis Fowl" they have underground cities in which fairies and all that live, hidden from humans. They're much more advanced than the human race; their technology is much further advanced, plus, they have magical abilities and all that.
"The City of Ember" involves a large city that's underground, with underground rivers and gardens and such. But they aren't as advanced as the world above.

So, perhaps further along the time line, we can introduce an abandoned space port?
If we wanted to do the space travel thing, that is.
So we have a technician who is able to work on the space shuttles/pods/etc. to bring them back into working condition...so characters could get into space and find another planet to live on..
(We can decide details for the planet when we decide if that's what we're going to do.)
