chapter 1
"ok Shingi I'm coming" I yelled running down the stairs pulling my tank top down Shingi is one of my big brothers Zen and Hiro are the others Zen's the oldest Hiro's next then Shingi I'm the youngest.
"Arisu come now!" Zen yelled starting the Jeep
"ok, ok" i said running out the door with Shingi. we both groan as we see the Jeep drive away with Hiro making faces at us from the back seat. we quickly put on our skates and skated to school passing neighbor after neighbor waving, we finish out pop tarts on the way to school sliding into homeroom just in time to not get a tardy the school day was normal except for everyone talking to me I'm usually one of the one's who is silent and ignored except for my birthday then it's like today
"Shingi why was everyone talking to me today?" i asked as we skated home
"i think it's because the new kid only wanted to talk to you" shingi said thinking back to the school day "his name is Yutoni" we skate up the drive way just as Zen pulls in
"what took you guys so long this morning?" Zen asked as we took off out skates
"you left just as we ran out the door!" Shingi yelled just as i stood up we ran off as Zen got out of the car and up the tree house
"never yell at me brother" Zen said in an even tone by the ladder while Hiro climbed in though one of the other windows
"and we're supposed to be scared of Hiro because...?" I asked hearing him
"Hiro's down here Arisu" Zen said confused as i looked down the imitation Hiro put something in front of Shingi's face knocking him out
"then who's...?" i asked turning around gasping seeing Shingi tied up in what looked like a spiders web
"don't scream and tell them that Shingi tried to scare you then close the shutters" a voice said from behind Shingi
"fine" i whispered turning back to the window "never mind Shingi tried to scare me" I said my eyes filled with terror i closed the shutters walking back to Shingi
"very good Arisu now did your brothers tell you?" it asked
"what did you do to Shingi mister" i asked his voice sounding so Familiar
"don't worry he's just knocked out he can still hear what we're saying, now they didn't tell you you're a wi-" he was cut off by Zen bursting in "you!" Zen cried opening the shutters the light hitting a man showing he had the same chocolate color hair as me he jumped out of the window and ran away
"Zen who was that? why did he have the same hair color as me and what was he going to say?" i asked starting to pull the web's off of Shingi Zen walked over to help me
"He was going to tell you a family secret that your not ready for yet"
"what?" I all most screamed
"that man is your biological father" Zen said helping Shingi up
"out father was different than yours Arisu" Shingi said holding me up "we're your half brother's mom was the same, we got custody of you when mom died because he was all way's moving around and the judge thought it was best it you had a stable home we'll explain better later let's go inside" Shingig finished Zen pulled me on to his back and climbed down Hiro held me in his arms as we walked back to the house
"shes old enough Zen" I heard Shingi whisper
"no shes only thirteen" Zen argued
"so i learned when i was twelve"
"fine" Zen gave in "but she need's to learn about her father first"
