"I have never heard anyone associated with Planned Parenthood apologize for the open racism of their founder, Margaret Sanger. She wanted to segregate and sterilize 'subhumans'. She talked about strategies for keeping 'rebellious' blacks in line. She was disgusted with charity programs that made life easier for people who, she thought, would be better off dead. And although she and her friends have hidden themselves behind a lot of propaganda about 'choice', they praised the Nazis for their 'efficient' eugenics policies in the 1930s, and today they praise the 'efficient' Chinese for their coercive policies." ~ Joan Andrew Bell, Prisoner of Conscience and Heroic Defender of God's Precious Infants

"I find it a great, great poverty that a child must die because we are afraid to feed one more child, to educate one more child. What will we answer to Him about that child, that old father and mother, because they are His creation, they are children of God." ~ Mother Teresa of Calcutta
"The curious have remarked that one institution alone for now nineteen hundred years has been attacked not by one opposing principle but from every conceivable point. It has been denounced upon all sides and for reasons successively incompatible: it has suffered the contempt, the hatred and the ephemeral triumph of enemies as diverse as the diversity of things could produce. This institution is the Catholic Church." ~ Hilaire Belloc

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13
this is my favorite bible quote.

"money is a good servant and a poor master." - Unknown Priest
i love this quote :3 just found it in another forum today posted by another user, money is often a very misunderstood thing, many either think it's the root of evil, or the key to happiness, but where is the happy medium? money has it's place and it's purpose, it only turns bad when we let it into our hearts, that is what God is referring to when He tells us that "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:24 He's not saying that just because you are rich you will not get to heaven, not at all, the "riches" He was referring to were not the riches we posses, but the "treasures" in our hearts.
"And when they had heard this, the disciples wondered very much, saying: Who then can be saved?"
From the Haydock commentary - "They wondered very much. The apostles wondered how any person could be saved, not because all were rich, but because the poor were also included, who had their hearts and affections fixed on riches. S. Aug. and Nicholas de Lyra."
we are supposed to put God first in our lives, and love Him above all else, and that is why it is wrong to let anything take the place of God in our hearts.
"Jesus saith to him: If thou wilt be perfect, go sell what thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come follow me."
although this is more referring to the call to religious life, it is also telling us, detach from your worldly attachments, and follow Christ, and by casting away your worldly treasures, you will obtain far greater treasures in heaven, heaven may also be referring to God inside of you, so while you empty yourself of useless treasures, you are filled with the greatest treasure of all, God. of course getting rid of your unnecessary material things as a sacrifice for God is a very good thing, but having them won't send you to hell, we just need to be detached is all, not having an inordinate attachment to things or money or people or ourselves, temperance is the key...
alright i wrote to much e,e sorry, i know this is meant for quotes, but i'm sure no one will mind d:

'Even though a man may be unable to attain such a height of sanctity, he ought to desire it, so as to do at least in desire what he cannot carry out in effect.' St. Philip Neri
'Though I find myself in so wretched a condition that I feel as if I no longer possess faith, hope, or charity, nor even that natural light which other men enjoy, so that I seem to be like an animal, even then, were I asked of what I was thinking, I could truthfully say that in the depth of my soul I have God alone present with me.' St. Paul of the Cross
'No one can find salvation except in the Catholic Church. Outside the Church you can find everything except salvation. You can have dignities, you can have Sacraments, you can sing "alleluia", answer "Amen", have faith in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and preach it too; But never can you find salvation except in the Catholic Church.' St. Augustine
'The sorrow of Mary is like the Mediterranean Sea, for it is written, "Your sorrow is great as the sea." From that sea we pass to a second sea, which has no limits; it is the Passion of Our Lord, of which the Royal Prophet said, "I am entered on the high sea." There the soul enriches herself in fishing for the priceless pearls of virtue.' St. Paul of the Cross
'Do nothing through human respect and, when it assails you, say: I shall do neither more nor less for the eyes of creatures. O my God, since I wish to please Thee alone, it suffices that Thou seest me everywhere.' St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
'No one has a right to mercy who can not himself show mercy.' Ven. Louis de Granada

'Pain and Love are almost synonymous words.' St. Lydwine of Schiedam
'When a person who has been living a spiritual life for a long time falls into a serious fault, there is no better way of raising him up again than by exhorting him to manifest his fall to any pious friend with whom he has a particular intimacy: and God will reconduct him to his first estate for the sake of his humility.' St. Philip Neri
'Let your constant practice be to offer yourself to God, that He may do with you what He pleases.' St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori
'It is useless to subdue the flesh by abstinence, unless one gives up his irregular life, and abandons vices which defile his soul.' St. Benedict
'Our perfection consists in uniting our will so intimately with God's will, that we will only desire what He wills. He who conforms most perfectly to the will of God will be the most perfect Christian.' St. Vincent de Paul
'God inclines to shower His graces upon us, but our perverted will is a barrier to His generosity.' St. Ignatius of Loyola
'Oh, what joy will it give to the blessed in heaven, and what pleasure to your guardian angel, to see you engaged in mental prayer! Never omit this holy exercise.' St. Paul of the Cross
'Long illnesses are the greatest favors that God confers on souls whom He loves most. . . Repose peacefully in the arms of your heavenly Spouse, Who loves you much; hold yourself on the cross of sickness as tranquilly and silently as is possible. If the cause of your illness be the wound of divine love which embalms your soul, it is well if you die under such a stroke: yours will be a death more precious than life.' St. Paul of the Cross
'Take advantage of little sufferings even more than of great ones. God considers not so much what we suffer as how we suffer. . . Turn everything to profit as the grocer does in his shop.' St. Louis Marie de Montfort
