what do i do?
went to tektek
found a lovely little layout
copied and pasted it in the theme override box
didnt work xp
now what?

Not sure about that myself.
Here's what mine consisted of in my signature.
(note that it's spaced so I can show it to you. In reality it's all one big word)
[ img ] http://i316.photobucket.com/albums/mm327/Brandi_H17/untitled-1.jpg [ /img ]
The [ img ] - is the start of the word and [ /img ] - at the end shows the ending of it so it can be one whole image. You can go to many sites like photobucket.com and copy the IMG link. Paste that in your signature setting and save. Then you should have a signature whenever you post in a forum.

stressed ok to do that go to my gaia then go to account settings then got to preferences then go to choose profile and change it to classic!

You have to try every custom.Like my profile,its classic but I have to change it to blocks!
