The morning fog had lifted, and now the sun shone over the mountains. There was a gentle breeze running through the budding trees, and the twitter of birds. All together, it was a peaceful day of the new spring. Lucianna was making the most of it. She enjoyed the spring very much, and after her winter inactivity, she was itching to get out and about. More importantly, the lands were alive again.
Up before the first rays of dawn, when the land is still cast in silvery-blue hues and dew and fog coat the ground, Lucianna had started her morning jaunt. She finally found a place to stop -- atop a nice little plateau, overlooking a valley soon to be lush and green.
There was a smile on the mare's face, and a shine to her teal-green eyes. Beautiful
Lucianna looked foward to the return of the birds, and other forest animals, and new friends that came with the lands renewal. It was the one good thing, in her mind, that made the winter worth it.

There was a cheerful bounce to the young stallion's steps as he meandered through the tall grasses, taking note of the green that seemed to be coming back to the trees and plants. Spring was afoot, that was clear- and Merric adored spring. Well, to be honest, there wasn't much that Merric didn't like, but spring was most definitely his favorite season. It seemed that he shared this view with his favorite playmate Kazuko- but then, it seemed that all flutters seemed to enjoy spring more. He wondered for a moment if he was part flutter... but that was silly, none of his family had wings. Besides, he was content just the way he was, part-flutter or not.
Most likely not.
Teal eyes scanned through the greenery with the usual bright grin adorning his light features, breaking into a swift canter across the empty field. Something white caught the corner of his eye, however, and clumsily, he skidded to a halt before casting his attention entirely in that direction. He had company, it seemed... perhaps someone else admiring the beauties of nature? He could appreciate that. For a moment, he wished he did have wings so he could have something to wave at the other soquili with, but he settled for calling over to them.
"Hello there!"
His bright voice seemed to echo through the clearing, though it was out in the open... could voices echo off of trees? He didn't think so.
