Emilie is....
  A genius!
  An embarrassment!
  A fairly talented young lady.
  Who?

Has anyone heard of the talented musician Emilie Autumn?
She's not really steampunk, more goth/Victorian (though I've never seen a Victorian who has pink hair or runs around in her underwear)
She does, however, seem to have a healthy obsession with tea.
And she's done the marvelous act of combining the electric violin with the magical harpsichord.
It's worth a look and a listen.

I've heard OF her, I don't believe I've ever heard any of her pieces.

Try youtube. Some of her songs are better than others.
My favorites are:
-Thank God I'm Pretty
-Swallow
-Castle Down
-Shallot (based on the poem The Lady of Shallot)
-Misery Loves Company
-Gentlemen Aren't Nice
-I Want My Innocence Back (but only when I'm in a REALLY bad mood!)

I suppose it could be inconvenient. For instance when you start declaring that someone should be killed by little girls. That sounds only sightly creepy.

I Know Where You Sleep.

And By The Sword.

And maybe. Sometimes Shalott.

I like her. I do. She has a strong voice and a good, unique sound ("violindustrial"). A friend of mine made me listen to her, and so I've been listening for a while (around a year).

But hey, uh, she's not very victorian or anything. She's like... Well, "Filthy Victorians; they made me what I am," ... So it seems kind of reasonable for her to run around in her skivvies.
