The stream gurgled as the cool water quickly raced itself down the edges of the rocky bottom trying to gathering itself downstream where it would eventually pool out into the large broad lake that waited in the center of the valley field full of long wavering grass. Tsela allowed the small creases of a smile to catch the edge of his mouth as the thought about sinking sensation of allowing his body to wander too far out into the lake, to the extent of even the tip of his hooves barely scraped the muddy bottom of the ebony pool of water. For him, it had been quite the experience that he had never felt before, usually the simple chides of “you’ll drown, or something will eat you” always seemed to perk up from the voices of the older ones that he usually spent his time following around, however, finally took his chance and escaped in hopes of finding some sort of new adventure to find his way on.

An adventure! Yes that was what Tsela needed from the ongoing monotonous days that seemed to lap into one another, rest assured he never took his fondest Aunt Kanti as someone monotonous as she seemed to find something to always occupy her time with, but for him the days seemed to merge into one large blob of something that he himself wasn’t truly fond of telling as a story to anyone else. Yes, that was this trip would be about, to find something to create stories to tell others about, great things that he would do, or possibly wouldn’t do in avoidance that at times he did value his life to some great extent and preferred the logic that he was allergic to dying.

Now the questioned rested in his mind, what should be the first thing that he should do as an adventure? Should he try to climb the mountains that he could see from fields of his home? Maybe follow the coast of the ocean in search of something striking his fancy on the sandy beaches, or even better yet to find someone who could or maybe would at least hold his fancy on attention. Shaking his head Tsela quickly darted the idea of someone holding his fancy quickly out of his mind and shrugged his shoulders, the idea of mountain climbing somehow seemed a lot easier to him them him liking someone else and in which would probably be his next mini journey as soon as he allowed himself to reach the coast. He, with his own brown eyes wanted to see what his father had described, and endless stretch of water, far greater than any lake that rested in some silly old valley. Giving a n** of his head towards the sky he watched as the little rays of sun filtered its way through the small branches and unfurling leave of the canopy sky.
