The forest darkened and the shadows cast across the floor darkened the depths. With the disappearance of the warm sun, the young fahn withdrew into herself to avoid the pain of the night to follow. The night yielded hours of endless torture from those who sought to point out her differences. With the darkness came the light. The bottle attached to the young Fahn brought an essence of deep red glow that followed her wherever she went; the difference, the change, brought fear and insecurity. The young Fahn approached the edge of the forest. Would she stay and endure the ridicule from those who she loved? Or would the brave little Fahn step out into the world and embrace her differences.

(With this RP contest, you will develop a personality for the Fahn. You may play off of her bottle and or use past memories for the RP. You must decide whether to embrace her differences or reject it. There is no max to the length, but please keep it to a readable amount. Please use correct grammar and punctuation when writing as well. )

Name of the Fahn: Lianus
RP Entry:

Lianus sat inside a large hallow tree that she had been staying in. She pushed a strand of hair out of her eyes as she glanced out from under her eyelashes at the soft shafts of light that glittered upon the forest grass. It shined with the beauty that the last rays of the sun had as it drifted into night fall. She smiled softly as a butterfly fluttered past on it way to sleep in the trees. She waited till the last rays of sun had vanished then she stood slowly and walked out. She made sure her bottle wasn't covered in dirt or anything and that it hadn't been scratched then she looked around as her two different wings fluttered softly, stretching them happily as she looked about, keeping her hair out of her face. She was scared about facing the others in this part of the forest, she had had a hard enough time getting here with out having too many notice her. But ahead of her there were a lot less trees then she was used to and she hoped that there weren't too many that would judge her about her looks. She turned and her horn stabbed a leaf hanging from the tree. She sighed and pulled it off and tossed it on the ground as she headed out of the trees. She looked around, not seeing anyone else in the darkness and walked along. Her bottle generated a soft glow all on its own that warmed her and kept the darkness from creeping in too close. She wiggled her tail as she looked up at the stars. The openness that this part of the forest offered was nice. There wasn't much in the way of tall grass here either but she liked it. She looked around at the open hill that she walked down and smiled, the openness was growing on her now. She walked across the hills and saw a few others in the trees look over at her. She wrapped her arms around her self softly and wondered what they thought of her. She glanced at them from under her eyelashes again and saw one of them smile and wave at her. She smiled softly back. They didn't seem to hate her or be scared of her and she waved softly back. Maybe this place wouldn't be as bad as where she had been. She thought to herself as she looked up into the sky.

Name of the Fahn: Lysa
RP Entry:
The young Lysa sat on the edge of a clearing in the shadows watching as others played in the clearing not really noticing her. Sometimes one would stop and point. she saw their mouth moving but heard nothing until they all started laughing.

"Why must you always follow me," she asked the red glow behind her. She talked to it all the time because no one else would approach her. They saw her and went out of their way to avoid her. It had always been like that. She sighed, it wasn't like she didn't like bing alone it was just she felt her voice was being wasted. Her voice was almost musically sweet. Everyone probably wouldn't mind her if they didn't avoid her.

She remembered back to when she was even younger. They would corner her and point and laugh and ask rediculous questions. Then they would poke her. She just answered their questions and pretended.

Lysa was shocked out of her remembrance when one of the fahn's approached her looking a little sheepish.
"Iii....iiii...I lost a bet, " he stuttered "I have to come talk to you...... P-please don't eat me." He sounded scared of her.

"what is wrong? Why would i eat you?" she asked.

"Well i've heard stories that you eat other fahn's for breakfast," he said not looking at her directly.

"They are just stories. You can go now. you accomplished the bet. I'm setting off now anyways," Lysa said looking at the male fahn. She stood up and walked away. They were always spreading stories about her. She was getting a little tired of it. That's why she was going to find somewhere else where she would be accepted. The male fahn looked at Lysa before running back to his group. Lysa stopped and spun around. she had decided to go through the clearing.Though they had problems with what she was, she didn't. She walked across the clearing with a confident stance. She just kept walking though she felt them all staring. She was off on a journey to find a happier ending than the one she would find here.

Name of the Fahn: Elea
RP Entry: Elea stretched out her front paws and let out a little yawn. The morning air was chilly, and she shivered a little. As her fur bristled from the goosebumps, the mist within the bottle swirled, as if waking up as well, bringing her warmth. Glancing back at the bottle with a noncommittal sigh, she left her little cave home, and ventured out into the forest.
The strange bottle had been a part of her almost her entire life, and even now, Elea really had no idea what its purpose was. It kept her warm on the chilly nights, and seemed at times to react to her moods, at least it seemed to swirl faster when she was scared or angry. On the other hand, others of her kind seemed to look down on her, with a mixture of both fear, and curiosity, but most of the time Elea was largely ignored by her kin.
As a young Fahn, Elea was often sad and lonely. But the years of solitude had hardened her heart until she had become the stoic 'lone wolf' that she was now.
Elea went on her normal rounds, looking for her favorite- blueberries. To her great pleasure, they were just coming into season. It didn't take long to find a bush full of them, and she bounded up happily, the bottle bouncing on her back, its mists lighter and swirling i n small circles, then suddenly the mist turned a dark orange, and the swirling stopped. A dark frown had crossed Elea's face, there was another Fahn getting berries from the bush already.
"No matter. I'll just scare them away." Elea thought to herself, approaching them from behind. The other fahn was young, and didn't seem to notice until Elea stepped on a branch and cracked it in half. He jumped, and whirled around, berry juice covering his cheeks. As he spun around, he continued to look about.
"Who's there?"
The look on Elea's face turned from a scowl to a look of curiosity as she saw his milky white eyes. The young fahn was blind. For the first time in what seemed like ages, Elea decided to take a chance.
"My name is Elea...I was going to pick some berries."
The other fahn smiled, and gave her a little nod.
"I'm Janus, pleased to meet you! You startled me a bit back there, you are very quiet. You must be a very graceful fahn, Elea."
The compliment had caught her off guard, and her cheeks blushed a little.
"T-thank you. I hope you don't mind sharing the blueberry bush...they're my favorite." Elea was unused to conversations with others that actually went smoothly, and had somewhat forgotten how to talk to someone that deserved to be talked to nicely.
"Of course not! The best ones are nearest to the ground." Janus said, and with a grin, he went back to the berries. Elea watched him for a moment with amazement as he expertly navigated around the branches to find the best berries. After glancing around a bit, she found a cluster and stuffed herself until her face and paws were covered in berry juice, and looked back to Janus, who was licking his paws clean.
"Um...do you come here every day?" Elea tried to ask nonchalantly, but had Janus been able to see, he most definitely would have noticed the mist within the bottle was swirling furiously and was a soft peach color.
Janus grinned.
"Yup. You should come back tomorrow, it was very nice to meet you Elea."
"Uh..yea... I'll see you tomorrow morning then."
Elea dashed off, her bottle bouncing against her back once more, her cheeks bright red.
