I'll be honest I'm no fashion expert. Add on to this as you like. I just think that I know a bit when it comes to this kind of s**t. This will just be a simple Go-To guide when it comes to getting into Cyberpunk fashion. Unfortunately I am a guy and therefore I have no idea how Dreadfalls play into this whole thing, but I'll try. This section is simply going to describe the different styles of Cyberpunk. This includes styles more towards Rave, but also styles that are more militaristic. Also, just a side note...don't disgrace the cyberpunk community by acting like a retard. Dressing up in the fashions may be cool, but is not always appropriate for all settings. There is nothing wrong with going to the mall with the basics, but gasmasks/respirators, gauntlets, cyberlocks/dreadfalls are not appropriate in most public places (althought the occasional venture into the Wendy's and ordering your meal with your mask around your neck and your goggles on, while wearing a kilt, is always fun...) Trademark EquipmentGoggles Combat Boots Gloves/Handwarmers Respirator (more militaristic, but seen throughout all styles) UV Reactive Clothing Black, Dark Grey (in general) Cybergoth (Raver) The Cybergoth is what most people associate with Aggrotech and post-industrial music and styles. Cybergoth fashion combines rave, rivethead, and goth fashion, as well as drawing inspiration from science fiction. Androgyny is common. The style sometimes features one starkly contrasting bright or neon-reactive theme colour, such as red, blue, neon green, chrome, or pink, set against a basic, black gothic outfit. Matte or glossy black materials such as rubber and shiny black PVC can be mixed and matched in an effort to create a more artificial look. The black-and-monochromatic juxtaposition can take a variety of forms, including brightly colored hair, artificial make-up, cybernetic patterns such as live LED circuit boards, body modification and goggles (especially aviator-style), typically worn on the forehead or around the neck rather than on the eyes. The most common use of a theme color is in the hair or eye make-up. Artificial, extended hair or “falls” are sometimes used to create this added effect. Falls can be made of various materials, ranging from yarn to fluorescent tubing to electrical wiring. Popular club gear for cybergoths includes tight black pants, tight black vests or shirts cut from ripped, solid or fishnet fabrics, resembling costumes from 19th Century Gothic novels or early black and white horror films from the mid-20th century. (Wikipedia. I don't know much about the Raver style) Militaristic Cyberpunk (Rivethead) This is more the style I know and can relate to. This style is much more basic than the previous Raver style. While the Rave style may be more female oriented, I feel that the militaristic style can be easily accessible to both males and females. First, most important piece are the boots. Combat boots. No, I'm not talking about those ridiculous Demonias. When I say combat boots I mean functional military grade combat boots. The point of this style is post-apocalyptic city bombed to Hell and once a warzone, not a wannabe goth stuck shopping at Hot Topic. Next thing you definitely need: Gasmask or respirator. Either will do just make sure that it is either black or painted black. You can add spikes if you want, but I find it unnecessary. The actual pants and shirt part are pretty easy. Anything that is on the greyscale (or urban camouflage) is good (preferably with a worn and/or torn up look). PVC vests and pants also work very well (also look very hot). Another great addition is a coat. Trench coats work great of they are more militaristic colored (olive drab or black) and black worn out leather coats make a great addition to this style. I'm gonna be honest, this is all I've got for now.

I just slapped on the Rivethead bit there, as that is generally what the fashion is called.

A raver usually wears the big, flared out tripp raver pants, some wear hair falls and goggles, sometimes a mask. They usually are more assossiated with EVERY colour of the ******** rainbow. (and usually have a rainbow on them.) They also wear alot of Kandi.

I'm trying to focus on true cyberpunk ravers, not the cliche wannabes at the club that shop with their allowance at hot topic. Also, the ravers associated with the rainbow are more likely to buy Sari paints over Tripp pants (sari are much more comfortable and lighter. better for raving) However, this is what I know, maybe I'm just horribly wrong.

You obviously aren't going to the right clubs. Granted there isn't much for cyber/industrial clubs in this area. There are some goth clubs, where you occasionally see a rivet or cyber, but not many. Although i believe one of the clubs in boston sometimes has a night dedicated to cyber/industrial. But, if you really want to go to some good ones, the nearest good one is in like New York. Can't think of it's name right now.

It is kinda funny she actually was the one who brought the fact i was a cybergoth/rivethead to my attention back when i thought i was just a goth.

She lives in Arkansas. For anyone who knows that place, there isnt s**t. (Coz I live there too......) there used to be a darkroom that a few EBM bands and DJ's would pass through. They have a metal night, then and industrial night. They shut down though. Shame.

I'm very lucky for where I live up in Edmonton. It's the one place that actually has an industrial scene in nearly the whole of western Canada and as such we not only have a pretty decent industrial club, but we also have alot of local talent including Zombie Girl, Psykkle, Virtual Terrorist, [P]erCeptor, Static Sun and iVardensphere. But even with all that, methinks a group of us from up here should organize a Das Bunker invasion some weekend.

CaptainRedBeard I was talkin to SonOfNoMan who lives a town over from me First off, I'm only 17, I can't get into clubs. Also, I wasn't saying that a lot of ravers don't wear Tripp, what I'm saying is that Tripp is mainly owned by posers who don't know anything else. Yes, I own Tripp pants, but most people that wear Tripp like that don't know anything but Tripp. If you couldn't already tell, I kind of hate Tripp pants.

Good old irony razz But, anyway, I don't think that generalization is really true. I know of many that LOVE Tripp and are far from posers, then I see the many Mall Goths (aka. Terror Cookies) that love them just as much and know s**t all about the culture, music, ect. Fashion can say alot about a person or it can say nothing at all.

Well, I hate them because posers at my school wear them and a lot of ICP fans wear them. Also, I only own one pair, and I bought it when I was kind of a poser.
