 Lulu sat by the babbling brook. Most had been calling her a slut for allowing Raiu to do what she did to her. The tan fox wasn't that sad, but she wished she could of at least kept one of the children instead of having to give them away to Raiu and Alok or to new owners. She sighed before looking into the stream. "Will things ever change for me or will I keep this poor image?"

Marco was approaching the steam, humming softly to himself. He was about to stop to take a drink when he noticed Lulu. "Hello there," he said, smiling at her. He was new to the area, and did not know anyone yet, but he was always happy to meet someone new. After all, one could never tell when someone who you meet could be an ally, a friend, or even a mate in the future. He walked over to the lovely fox and smiled at her again, sitting near her. "I am Marco, I am new around here."

Lulu looked up and smiled kindly at the new fox. "It's nice to meet you Marco. My name is Lulu." She paused for a second. "It means rabbit in Native American." Lulu shrugged. "Others claim it's because of the way I act saying I can rush into things sometimes without knowing the consequences." She sort of smiled, but she was sad deep down. "I try not to hurt anyone's feelings, but I seem to be good at hurting other foxes unintentionally."

"Hey now, don't be sad. I don't know what has happened in your life, but hey its gotta get better someday," he told her in a kind voice. "And, I think Lulu is a lovely name." He went over to sit next to her, something drawing him toward this haunted fox. She seemed so unhappy, he could not help his overwhelming urge to protect her and to make her happy again, no matter what. He spmetimes had to fight off dispair, although probably for different reasons, but he had learned to live his life and be happy, and he wanted her to be happy too.

Lulu watched him as he came over a bit curious as to why he cared so much. "Well...um...I never met someone like you before. You're really nice." She smiled trying to cheer up for his sake. Normally Lulu would put on a strong face so she could be liked. "Well I definitely feel happy to have someone to talk to. I mean, I did have children, but it's a long story as to what the problem is." She paused. "There was this gay male fox who wanted kids, but he needed a surrogate mother so I agreed to it. In the end it made the family more angry at me and other foxes started to hate me for doing it. How could I say no? I wanted to give him a family he wanted, but I knew by shop rules that only one could be kept per owner." She shook her head. "I couldn't keep one since Raiu wanted one and the rest got sent to other owners."

"That is so sad, well, I don't hate you for it. You did a good thing, even if the other foxes did not like it. The only sad part was that you did not get to keep one of the kits, but at least you let that guy-Raiu-have a family." Marco said, smiling at her. He could not help but admire her vraveness and her willingness to sacrifice for another foxes sake. She seemed to be a wonderful fox, and she needed to realize that because she did not seem to think well of herself. I will simply have to make her and everyone else see how wonderful she is, well her at least, he thought to himself with a cheerful thought.

Lulu looked up at him blinking. "You think so? I know Caleb doesn't hate me, but the families who adopted him scowl at me almost every time I come by." She shrugged. "But I guess it would be better for their sake if they don't see me that much." She smiled. "I can always start a new life over. If they hate me that much then so be it." The native fox got up. "So what do you like to do?"

"Anything really, I am not picky. I like swimming and walking in the woods, but I like most other things too," he told her, saddened by her tale, but glad for a chance to help her. "What about you, what do you like to do?" he asked, grinning over at her to hide his inner sadness. He was glad he met her, mostly because he truly wanted to help this troubled young woman. He could not understand it, but he did not care; he just wanted to help her.

Lulu smiled happy to have him around. She didn't need kids to make her happy. If they wanted to go around blaming her for ditching them when she had no choice who cared? I mean it was only hurting themselves and she shouldn't have to worry. "Neat...Well I like taking romps through the woods and chasing butterflies." Lulu smirked. "I tend to be fairly playful and cheerful most of the times." She cocked her head. "Care to go for a run?"

"I'd love too, running is so much fun." He grinned when she said she was playful, thinking, 'Well, she can't like to play as much as I do,' as he got ready to run. He took off running toward the nearby woods and then turned to face her and said, "Race ya!" before taking off again. He could not help the grin on his face as he raced toward the woods and smiled when she came up beside him.

Lulu smirked before running after him. "Oh yeah? Well I guess I'll have to become a bit faster." She darted off after him into the woods. She sort of wondered what he was like as a fox, but already she could tell he was nice and kind. Maybe things would work out for the better for her eventually. The tan fox already got off on a good start.

"Well, then I will too," he said catching up to her and then pacing himself beside her. He was very impressed with the fox, she had great form in running. She was also very beautiful, but he was embarassed for noticing that. He just shrugged the thought away and kept running beside her. He was not sure if they were headed anywhere in particular, but he did not care. He really enjoyed running, so the destination was not important to him.

Lulu smirked as she looked over at him. "Alright big boy. How about we try a bit harder?" She then got faster to see how good he was hoping he could keep up. It was nice to have a fox care about her for once. It didn't matter if she had an affair with Raiu. He was in the past. All that mattered to her now was starting a fresh new life. The red fox was a bit charming, although she wouldn't admit it quite yet since she didn't want to look like a slut. "We're heading to my secret fort silly."

"Ah, so I see," he said, speeding up to easily match her pace. He laughed as they ran, enjoying the breeze that they created around themselves. He looked over at her and smiled, still keeping pace with her easily, but not trying to outrun her either. He was enjoying the feel of the fresh air and the forest earth beneath his paws. He could not believe he found a fox who appeared to love running as much as he did, and he delighted in that knowledge.

Lulu eventually after running for so long came to an abrupt stop. "Here we are." It was a nice clearing in the woods. There were some pretty flowers with butterflies on them, plus a small pond for someone to get a drink. "Well...what do you think?"
