If you get bored or tired, where do you go to rest? Other than home, of course. I know sleeping at the con isn't allowed, but have you ever secretly taken a nap in a corner, or in the anime theatres? Tell your stories!

I have definately seen some people sleep sitting upright in the theatres. one guy almost got skittles dropped in his mouth because it was wide open lol.

I'd probably be too hyped up to actually sleep at a con, but I certainly feel the need to sit down every hour or so and just rest for a while, especially if I'm wearing a demanding cosplay. Luckily, there's so much to see in the halls, so it doesn't get too boring.

We'll be there soon...
Agreed, there is so much to look at. However by the end of the day, I'd be so worn out. My boots last year were not the most comfortable thing in the world, so I had to sit down every so often, mostly when I got bored.

I don't get tired at Con! Hahaha There's always so much to do and see that I don't realize I'm tired or hungry until I literally walk out of the convention center. : D
I've had friends sleep at the convention center or in their cars for the night, rather than getting a hotel before though...

I just flop down somewhere and rest my legs. At Nekocon, they had this big square cushion bench things, a whole bunch lined along the wall. One night while waiting for some friends to leave the dance, I and a few of my other friends just went and laid on those until they came out. All convention centers should have those things, they were like mini beds.
But I usually also have a hotel room. But if I'm tired and I go to my hotel room, there's no coming back out.

Sleep (and showers) are for the weak at conventions. Needless to say, I am weak. I go back to my hotel room and bathe and sleep for at least six hours per night. Bedtime isn't until 3am normally. (By the end of the weekend you can just smell the masses.)

Actually, after not sleeping or eating for two days I actually got about, two minutes of sleep in the dining area near the Subway at about... 7am. I was SO tired, normally I would NEVER sleep in a public place wide in the open, but I was truly exhausted.

chicobonito (By the end of the weekend you can just smell the masses.) It's even worse on Sunday at a summer con in a tiny hotel with no real AC. It's BAD. Hell, even Friday at a show in WINTER in the same hotel is bad. I don't know what it is, but you get a bunch of teenagers in a con and let them run around for an hour or two and it just SMELLS.
But I have yet to sleep at a con yet. I'm mostly behind tables and stuff while at cons in California and kinda doze off there. I've never actually slept at a con before. Though I came close at the last Sakura Con I went to. xD My friend kept dragging me around on Saturday night, going from the rave to the game room to a special movie showing to downstairs, then right back to the rave and then to the artist alley. All this in about an hour. I nearly collasped at a poor artists' table...

I usually take a break in the theaters or in the manga library xD; I've yet to fall asleep at a con, but I did frequent the manga library when I was tired because it's quiet, convenient, and there was so much Sailor Moon manga 8D

I inject myself with heroin. rofl Nah. I just buy a bunch of sugar-less energy drinks and mix it all to together then drink that while I'm at the con.

I recommend natural ways of energizing yourself D: Spend the days before Sakuracon taking it easy. Take long naps if you need, preserve your energy. Snack frequently, never go hungry, and I'm talking healthy snacks. Fruits are great for energy. Shower in the morning, make sure you eat breakfast! Breakfast is a MUST. Then maybe dance around a bit, stretch, get yourself pumped up. Try your best not to geek out physically at the con lol. Unless its night time, then go at it, you'll soon be crashing anyways.

Then maybe dance around a bit, stretch, get yourself pumped up. Try your best not to geek out physically at the con lol. Unless its night time, then go at it, you'll soon be crashing anyways. I find the exact opposite helpful actually... energy wise at least. I usually do a TON of stuff 2-3 weeks before the con leaving me waking up early and going to bed in the morning. Going to a ton of stores, sewing, exercising... It really gets my motivation and stamina up. I sleep in Thursday morning to actually get 8 hours of sleep then back to what I was doing the last 3 weeks. Waking up at 8 going to bed at 2... by that time your body is used to it and you are less likely to crash And food wise... NEVER eat a full heavy meal. You will feel so groggy. I prefer Complex Carbs (like granola bars) and protein (like jerky). They seem to not make you have a high like fruit can because of all the sugar (though not saying fruit is bad because they are also great for cons... especial oranges... just eat some complex carbs with it so you don't crash from a sugar high like diabetics do sometimes). Water and Juice. They both keep you hydrated without making you crash. Dehydration is one of the main reasons people crash to begin with. Now there are also energy drinks which usually are great for short runs... and some with mass vitamins (I think AMP was one of those). So with this system I get 5-6 hours of sleep and have enough energy to run all over all day... Sometimes I forgo sleep all together though if I feel up to it and get maybe 2 hours friday - sunday... but that is only recommended for people with higher stamina or are used to not sleeping
