If anyone here is so clever, would you be able to answer the following questions thoroughly and elaborately? (This is for Christians) But if you want to answer them in your own risk then go ahead.

1. Why won't God heal amputees?
2. Why are there so many starving people in our world?
3. Why does God demand the death of so many innocent people in the bible?
4. Why does the bible contain so much anti-scientific non-sense?
5. Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the bible?
6. Why do bad things happen to good people?
7. Why didn't any of Jesus' miracles in the bible leave behind any evidence?
8. How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you?
9. Why would Jesus want to eat his body and drink his blood? (This question has taken too literally in the video)
10. Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-christians?

Pls. answer these before watching.

PS. For the sake of answering, pls. do not rule-out the bible as an unreliable source of scriptures.

Hmm...I suppose I can take a moment or two to put in my opinions of answers to these questions. Oh and fyi I am for lack of a better term, a mystical christian who is open-minded to many other religions and pagan ideals.

1. Why won't God heal amputees?

In the literal translation of the bible they will presumably be resurrected whole. Every person on this planet suffers to some degree throughout their life, their suffering just happens to be physical. I see no reason that their pain is any more or less than someone who is full-bodied and having to endure a totally unique set of trials and tribulations that are crafted to their own person.

2. Why are there so many starving people in our world? Overpopulation + disease + bored people who's only entertainment/bright light/happy place in this world is to breed. If you are unable to care for yourself then why spawn a new generation of mouths to feed, of people to suffer as you are?

3. Why does God demand the death of so many innocent people in the bible? Technically noone is innocent, man is mortal and a sinner...if you go by the literal translation of the bible, the only one who was sinless was christ thus the whole cruicifixtion for our sins being such a big deal. I also do not think that God demands it considering also in the text, once christ has been sacraficed, there is pretty much a ban on 'blood' sacrafices thus no killing of bulls, sheep, people, etc. So God, per the bible, does not want the death of the 'innocent sacrafices'. Also per the passages in the bible about killing non-virgins, teenages, etc. I think it is part of a method to tame the populace, to keep order and to keep disease down. Think of it...the reason why virginity is a good thing is because you KNOW where they have been, nowhere. Back then, an STD could wipe out an entire village/town because someone was unfaithful...they were quite literally protecting their life.

4. Why does the bible contain so much anti-scientific non-sense? In my opinion, the bible was written as a story...a parabole of fairy tales and lessons learned. Like the period we have tales of prostitution, adultry, theft, murder and many more 'bad' deeds. All bad deeds need to be punished and if the 'evil' is termed Satan and the good is termed 'Jehovah/God/Yaweh' then we have the good versus evil cliche storybooks of old. If you take apart each and every bible story, there is a mixture of lessons learned, scientific fantasies and a smidge of historical truth hidden within. But no, I'd say that 90% of the stories are symbols...I mean seriously, water into wine? uh no...but if you think about it from a symbolic perspective...water = life/pure/cleansing/refreshing/powerful --> wine = blood/life to death/sacred both are meant to give a point.

5. Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the bible? At the time and for the most part from what I understand of history, slavery wasn't exactly a bad thing beyond the whole not being free. They were not treated bad, they were fed and clothed and obviously needed for the rich and they knew that if they were not there then the rich would be useless so it was sort of an ego trip. Also all men are slaves in my opinion, there is always someone higher up in the food chain, always someone you have to pay/answer to, so it is not really a novel idea.

6. Why do bad things happen to good people? Because all men are sinners, all men are mortal...I'm sure even Mother Theresa did wrong in her life as well as the Pope. It just seems a sad thing when you see it happening to people who are inherently good, we feel pity and anger when good people are hurt but glee and amusement when bad people 'get what they deserve'...doesn't that make us bad?

7. Why didn't any of Jesus' miracles in the bible leave behind any evidence? Again I read the bible in a symbolic way, I do not see his loaves and fishes story as real yet the idea of giving what little you have to your fellow man, that it would feed more than you think, that it would help out more than just one single loaf...I think that's the point. The whole 'if you teach a man to fish...' parabole.

8. How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you? That is where faith comes in to play and technically, depending on your translation, if we saw Jesus aka God, we would die. I know somewhere in the old testament it says that we cannot look upon god and live so, no offense, but jesus can stay up in heaven with daddy, I'm good down here. On a more serious note, if you pray and believe with all of your heart, your mind would be happy to play tricks with you. Biologically speaking we can come up with some imaginative things and believe that it is real, a mirage of sorts hence why people can see jesus's visage 'appear' like in waffles and stuff. Oh and noone really knows what he looked like anyways, there is debate if he was of light or dark or brown skin that is if he even existed.

9. Why would Jesus want to eat his body and drink his blood? (This question has taken too literally in the video) I think it stems from several pagan rituals in the past and again, it is a symbolic thing. He does not want us to literally eat and drink of him. His body is meant to be strength, a pure substance that is without blemish, if we partake of it we might be given a tidbit of what 'power' he possesses. His blood, his life force, offers us a taste of rejuvination...blood is the most sacred part of the body in most societies/religions/cults/etc.

10. Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-christians? Erm that's easy, we are all human? People have lost the ability to converse and I do not mean just sitting in front of the tv or *gasp* the kitchen table around dinner talking about their day. I am talking about emotions, things that make us tick. When was the last time that you sat down with your significant other and talked about philosophy/politics/religion/biology/history/etc? Anything other than who won American Idol? Couples have now become a thing of the past, people are just getting married to have sex because it is less frowned upon after marriage, to breed and have children (because that's just what you do) and to enjoy their happy white picket fence fantasy. Well stuff like that doesn't happen in real life, people need to talk about reality and stop pretending that every marriage is all warm happy fuzzy.
