What's better, seeing the movie or reading the book?

Reading the book... For me that is... My imagination goes wild and crazy... There are no limitations... Though I do love the movies as well... 3nodding I hate it sometimes when they cut the good part...

i agree with yukina. when you read, you have the chance to imagine the story, to "create" the characters and stop whenever you wish to imagine. I mean, you can't' stop the film every 5minutes, but you can stop the book every 5 pages!

I like to read the books way better, watching the movie is something you can do with other people without having to be worried about reading too far and giving things away when you read a book. 'Cause i went to this twilight discussion with all these posers and I kept getting weired looks because I had read all the twilight books and they had all only read the first one.... *Growls*
Plus I agree with the others, you can kind of get a picture of the things in your head and alter them the way you'd like them to be. ^_^ That's my two cents in it xD.

I prefer reading a book, you can imagine the people and scenery however you want, within reason, and I enjoy that. Also you can take a book with you every where you go, I take one with me whenever I go into New York on a bus, read it in the bus or if I feel like sitting down in central park or just sitting in a cafe if I'm alone, and even when I'm with my family. Plus with books you get to know the characters and plot better, which is always good.

Reading the book.
I often find I'm a little disappointed by the people chosen for characters when I go to the movies. It's also much better for ones imaginative side, you think about everything when you read, when you watch the movie everything is just there - Bam.Smack. - in front of your eyes.

I like reading the book, then watching the movie and seeing the difference between what I thought things looked like, then what the movie thinks they look like.

I solemnly swear I am up to no good. Yeah...i'll read the book first, usually. Movies are so different. Like in HP5 it left out half of it
Mischief managed.

I think you should always read see the movie then read the book. when u see the movie it sets the books expectations. then (cuz the books are better then movies) the book will rock but leave room for ur imagination. Books are better!
