Operation and Formatting
Operating the Play 1. Do not kill others’ characters unless they are able to be killed. Remember, no god-modding, so only the owner of the character may declare its death. 2. Only one character can be in one place (thread) at one time. See Formatting for details.
Formatting the Play 1. Write semi-literately. (a) yes this is exceptable but please try to use grammer and spell(and use) your words correctly. (b) NoThIsIsNoTaCcEpTaBle and neither is WR1T1NG L1K3 T#1$. (c) No chat-speak and remember that all capital letters signifies yelling/screaming. If it is hard to read, retype it. 2. Do not use emoticons. 3. Speak in past-tense. 4. When a character is talking, its words should be placed in quotes. Thoughts should be italicized. 5. Emphasized words can either be bolded or italicized, or in some cases, capitals. 6. Use paragraphs to break up your sentences into groups. Do not write walls of text. 7. Utilize the different texts styles of each character throughout. 8. Square brackets – (a) In switching a character’s location from one thread to another, at the end of its last post there, place where they are going next in square brackets. Ex: [ - to “Location”] (b) In entering a site(thread), at the beginning of the character’s post, place where they came from in square brackets. Ex: [ - from “Location”] 9. Curly brackets – (a) If something needs to be said during the role-play that is out of the role-play itself, place whatever needs to be said in curly brackets. Ex: {I love puppies!} (i) May use emoticons. (ii) Do not necessarily have to be semi-literate. (iii) Do not have to use the text styles.
