It was dark. The only light came from the passing cars and the few lamp posts strewn about the park. One of Cloud's favorite places, one of the places that, for him was perhaps one of the most entertaining areas of his city. The dog park. There was nothing better than lounging on a tree's high branch during the daylight hours, watching the dim-witted canines go insane trying to reach him. But at night, there were fewer dogs, and Cloud was free to wander the park without fear. At night, most humans kept their companions on leashes, and if they didn't, well, Cloud still had much better eyesight in this darkness than they did.
Strutting along in the open grass of the park, Cloud lifted his nose and took in a breath of the cool night air.

Nic slipped out of his doggy door that his owner sometimes left unlocked. He let his tongue hang out happily as he raced to the park. Kibblet smelling breath fogging out of his mouth. As he reached to the park, he slowed to a romping trot and looked around the empty park. He loved the night air and being outside, but he was a tad lonely. When he cought the wiff of a cat, he started romping again to the smell, hoping to find someone to talk to.

Cloud stopped his strutting once he had heard the dog romping about. Turning towards the direction of the sound, he kept his eyes wide open and his ears erect. Though his face, plastered with a sort of arrogant grin.
He loved messing with dogs, he did, but he knew better than to assume things about them. For all he knew this canine was a vicious cat-killer; or maybe it was one of those friendly, dopey ones. Once he was sure, it would be time for him to have his fun.

Nik cam closer but stopped and stood still for a moment. After releiving himself, he went back to going twords the noise. Noises were interesting, but business was business. He reached a tree and looked into it, trying to see past the many trees. He then saw it and smiled happily. He put his front two paws on the bark and said "Hi cat!!"
